Avon Rides off in the Sunset

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND. Avon Blocksdale is saying that S11 is going to be his last year. The 8 time Pro Bowler is announcing that S11 is going to be his final season. The Quarterback was heavily involved in the recruiting process for new Hawks QB Ryan Applehort, so this doesn't come as much of a surprise. We turn to Avon now. "I came into this league as an unknown offensive lineman, and I wound up being an Ultimus winning Quarterback. Pretty fricken awesome. I'm so happy Ryan is here to shepherd the Hawks into the future. As far as what I'll be doing in S11 - I'm excited to say I'll be playing Cornerback for the season. I showed off my legs big time in the NSFC championship game (and all season really), so I figured why not jump at the chance to show everyone what I can do on the defensive side of the ball. Caw Caw baby."

Now out of character - I want to thank everyone for what has been an awesome career. Special thanks goes out to my hawks brothers who have been here since day 1 for me (@manicmav36, @37thchamber @Raven @HENDRIX (RIP) @ItsJustBarry ). We've had a lot of doubters along the way, dealing with being yelled at for something we didn't do, and being called chokers. Glad we got to shed the label before Avon retired.

There are plenty of other players and people both Hawks and non-Hawks that were super important both to me and Avon, I don't wanna list all y'all in case I forget, but you know who you are.

Honestly, I think the Legion need to be preserved in history, and given how significant your presence there was, I think that would be a very appropriate decision.
