As a part of my new job as part of the great dynamic voice duo that is me and @timeconsumer, I've been taking some time to go through all of the incoming NSFL rookies and put together a best available list. I'll share that list here and it will also be on the stream. So that's pretty cool. But also, I wanted to talk to a few random people who are being drafted to see what they think about the whole system. I don't know how the payment structure is going to be for this, but fuck it. Talk to them all and let the graders sort them out (Good feckin luck, lads)!
First, it's the list. So, I took all the combine results I was given, threw in TPE numbers, used my old GM skills to gauge activity, and put reputation into consideration when making this list. What this list doesn't take into consideration is GM players. This is a Big Board, not a Mock Draft. I can do that some other time (or not). Here's the list in all its glory:
1.) RB - Antonio Summer - mckee29
2.) LB - Alex Selich - Tomen
3.) DB - Lennox Garnett - 37thchamber
4.) LB - Tana Keita - Ben
5.) DB - Marc Spector - RedCydranth
6.) WR - Sunnycursed - ADwyer87
7.) DL - Kwame Abayomi Mbanefo - RabidSponge21
8.) DL - Andrew Reese - SwagSloth
9.) LB - KJ Becker - Kendrick
10.) DB - Bobson Dugnutt - Bzerkap
11.) DB - Dan Schneider - LGMForever
12.) DB - Ryan Cobalt - Tinkler
13.) WR - Yulic Nagasawa - Vikain
14.) RB - Jerrod Canton - Sweetwater
15.) WR - Thjalfi Halvorsen - tez
16.) WR - Josh Parker - goilers
17.) WR - Harvey Kindle - Radsin
18.) TE - Steven Moore - maxcrazy
19.) DL - Football Sackerman - cpetrella
20.) DL - Will Foster - ztevans
21.) K/P - Kulture Fulture - Saliva^
22.) WR - Ty Justice - Justice
23.) WR - Roger Batoff - yoye
24.) DB - Jonathan Rice - ml002
25.) RB - Zoro Roronoa - Swegkingu
26.) RB - Slim Shady - J.G.10

32.) RB - Thomas Carrasco - samee
33.) TE - Adrian Pitcher - AngelTwelve
34.) DL - Franklin Townsend - MarneMauler99
35.) DL - Curtis Saul - Evok
36.) DB - Ace Boogie Jr. - AceBoogiieJr
37.) DL - Danny Methane - DannyMethane
38.) WR - Berrell Trister - TBone415
39.) K/P - Kick Puncher - BoltyMcSpeedy
40.)QB - Jamal Slick - JBLAZE_THE_BOSS
Another thing I wanted to do was talk to a few people on this list just to see what they think about the league and sim leagues as a whole. I chose these people because of their stature in other leagues, their history within this league, and also because a good deal of these people are friends (or at least teammates). So here's that:
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]#1 - Antonio Summer - RB - @mckee29[/div]
Jiggly: How did you find the NSFL?
Mckee: Triston and I were on reddit looking for fantasy football leagues at r/FantasyFootball or something I believe. Simple explanation is reddit.
Jiggly: I'm not looking for simple
Mckee: Oh you want long answers for word count? Haha. I can give a long winded explanation.
Jiggly: Go ahead, we've got time
Mckee: Word. It was a chilly day in August or sometime around then. Me and Triston we're searching around through the subreddit r/FantasyFootball and looking for a fantasy football league to join (this was pre Cross-Cunts legendary league) when I came across the NSFL. I opened it and started browsing and joined. We didn't find a fantasy football league that day, but a league found us.
Jiggly: Aww, so cute. So, you're going into your first real draft. How are you feeling?
Mckee: It's pretty exciting honestly. The DSFL was a start that's for sure but it's nothing compared to the hype around the NSFL. Teams are talking to me with long term plans in mind and looking at all the options as to what to do with me. It's an exhilarating time without question.
Jiggly: I've got you pegged as the top player in the draft. What do you think about that?
Mckee: I can't say I'm surprised, but I'm also very impressed that you would pick me as the #1. There's a lot of amazing talent in this draft and I'm super happy to be a part of it, especially as one of the elite players.
Jiggly: The draft has probably already been picked. You may have not gone first overall. What would you like to say to any GM who would pass on you?
Mckee: Well in terms of the Liberty, me and the team's manager had a conversation yesterday about how I did not wish to join their team, so I can already guarantee not being the first overall pick. I think I understand team and player's needs, but I also think the team's who skip on me will regret it when I'm breaking their alumni's records.
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]#2 - Alex Selich - LB - @Tomen[/div]
Jiggly: How did you find sim leagues?
Tomen: Sim leagues in general or the NSFL?
Jiggly: Both.
Tomen: OK as for sim leagues in general I found the SHL through their summer reddit recruitment back in 2016 and through the SHL members I was gradually introduced to other simleagues such as SBA/NSFL/GOMHL. As for the NSFL specifically Baller posted it in the SHL main discord that he is creating a football sim league and left the link in there. That's how I found the NSFL. I signed up before the site was even completed and then created my first player when the creation opened up.
Jiggly: What was your first ever draft like? SHL-wise and maybe even NSFL if you've got a story for that.
Tomen: Ufff. the SMJHL one was a weird experience actually since I had no idea where I would end up and it was the one of the biggest draft classes ever. I had some kind knowledge regarding in which rounds I would be drafted and that was correct. As for the SHL one I was contacted by a few GM's and ultimately Buffalo traded up to #2 to select either me or Pris whoever was not picked #1 essentially which was a great feeling. For the NSFL one. Brumm the founder of SJS told me that he would pick me with their first pick since he knew me from the SHL. I think his name was Perkules here. Was also a nice feeling since a ton of other well known SHL member were in this first NSFL draft. As for the DSFL one that happened recently for me I didn't follow it that much to be honest and I wasn't really contacted except from Portland. I think KCC picked me because I was already on the team thanks to the waiver system.
Jiggly: If I remember correctly, you were majorly involved with the SHL for a long time before you left for a while last year. Who or what pushed you to do more for the league?
Tomen: For the SHL or for the NSFL?
Jiggly: SHL, but honestly just in general getting involved with sim leagues
Tomen: Regarding the SHL, I just wanted to have a nice amount of money in my bank account because I hate writing media. I also like being an Updater working with simple math and I love trivia questions that's how my interest grew regarding the history of the league. I also just was unhappy with how "bad" the updating/banking system was in the SHL since quite a few people complained about it. So I just thought yeah I'mma do this shit myself. Also I had quite a good amount of free time because I am in college. It quickly became my favorite hobby and I am usually someone who is quite invested in his hobbies and put quite a bit of effort/time into it since I want to do things the most efficient way. I think this is also a major factor why I am a TPE whore I just hate knowing that I could have done something better if I just invest a bit more effort/time into it.
Jiggly: So, I have you listed at #2 in the Big Board, just underneath Summer. Do you think that's fair?
Tomen: I think it might actually be too high but I don't know too much about the history of some members here and other things that play into the draft stock etc. Some people value recreates more and some people value new members more. I also think some GM's will be have a tad of reservations regarding drafting me since I went inactive once. I also didn't do much scouting regarding my own draft class so I don't know how I stack up in terms of TPE/week, overall activity, money and league jobs. I think I have the 3rd most TPE of my draft class. I have a league job and am decently active. The thing that might make me go in the top 3 is my reputation from the SHL as being a known TPE whore and quite a loyal person. I also don't know how important positional need is here in the NSFL so I guess depending on my position I could got rather high or go a tad lower than expected. From what I remember there is once recreate who is also a LB in my draft class and the rest of the players are inactive. But yeah I am just happy to be drafted and get to know new people and hopefully get a Ultimus with the team that drafted me.
Jiggly: The Draft has probably already been done. There's a very good chance that you will go first overall, but if you do get passed on, what would you have to say to any GMs who passed on you?
Tomen: I hope you had good reason for it like positional need. Also I can understand if you had reservations regarding drafting me because I went inactive once. For you I hope that the player you picked will be a cornerstone in your franchise going forward. Will be fun to see who you should have picked 7 seasons from now in some re-draft media. Hopefully you passed on a future Hall of Famer and didn't get on with your pick.<Jiggly Note: There was an emoji that I will now express in a .gif right underneath here>

[div align=\\\"center\\\"]#3 - Lennox Garnett - DB - @37thchamber[/div]
Jiggly: How did you find the NSFL?
Chamber: Don't actually remember. Almost definitely reddit though. Can't think where else I'd see it
Jiggly: What interested you about it?
Chamber: I like D&D. same thing really, character development
Jiggly: Cool. So the first time you were drafted, what were you thinking?
Chamber: I wasn't around for the draft. Didn't know the GMs, my teammates, anything. Just figured I'd go with the flow and see what happens
Jiggly: So when you got drafted who were the people who got you more involved and kind of pushed you to what you've done today (i.e. Wiki, banking)
Chamber: Nobody really. The activity in the locker room wasn't too high outside a handful of people (Hendrix, Raven, Noppadet, Muford after waivers; couple others were in and out like Evry and Dollar). I mentioned getting a job much later (like season 5 probs) because I needed cash for equipment. Trey Willie mentioned bankers were needed so I offered. The wiki thing was my own initiative mostly I think. I suggested it while doing the historian role... Because I can, I guess. If one person was responsible for me staying with this and the Hawks in particular, it was definitely Hendrix though. And later Slm.
Jiggly: So, where would you like to go? I know that you spent your entire career last time around with the Hawks, do you still want to go there or are you interested in seeing what the rest of the league has to offer?
Chamber: Hawks are a safe choice. I don't much care where I go though. If I don't like it, I can leave. If anything there are a few users I'd prefer to avoid if possible but that's it.
Jiggly: So, I have you on my Big Board at #3. Is that fair?
Chamber: Dunno. I haven't really concerned myself with it tbh. I think I'm like... 5th in TPE or something so probably.
Jiggly: So the draft's probably already been run, is there anything you'd like to say to the GMs who passed you up?
Chamber: Not really. I'm sure they had their reasons. It's not like I'm a unknown quantity anymore.
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]#14 - Jerrod Canton - RB - @Sweetwater[/div]
Jiggly: How did you discover the NSFL?
Sweet: I’m pretty active in r/NFL on reddit, and right when the league started they recruited there, I had some time on a layover from NYC and decided to make a player.
Jiggly: What was your first draft like?
Sweet: It was a lot of fun. I didn’t go until a later round and not to the team that said they would draft me, but I was part of the first draft podcast/live cast, and did it from my cell phone in a dirty hotel room because I didn’t have a place to live but had a job.
Jiggly: So, you went inactive for a while, but before you left you were pretty dang involved with the league. Who or what pushed you into being more involved with this league and what made you come back after you left?
Sweet: It was the whole beginning of the incident with Er. I was getting messaged nonstop and decided to try and recuse myself from it to keep the league from affecting my real life. I took a week off to spend thanksgiving and my work vacation with my family and just disconnected from everything online for the week. I told the HO the but they removed me anyway, so I kinda took that as an omen to leave the league for a while. As for coming back, Muford and TLK messaged me all the time, and eventually I figured, fuck it, let’s go.
Jiggly: I guess that brings me around nicely to asking about where you want to go in the league. What do you want out of a locker room, is there any specific place that you'd like to go?
Sweet: I’m looking to be the best back in the league at some point. HOF or bust. As for LR, looking for a contender with an active LR, both in and out of the game. I enjoy bonding with teammates through games other than the NSFL. Not really a specific place but a bunch of my friends are on NO.
Jiggly: I have you ranked on the Big Board at #14. Would you say that's fair?
Sweet: Maybe in terms of team needs or player importance yes, but I am the top TPE per day earned of S11 rookies. And have a history of activity to back up continued production. From talking to GMs I’m looking like a fringe 1st rounder.
Jiggly: To end this, the draft has probably already been picked, so what would you like to say to any GMs who passed up on you?
Sweet: I understand the decision if I didn’t fit a need, but if you were looking for a stud RB with a high floor, you whiffed big time, and I look forward to proving that to you every time we play.
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]#18 - Steven Moore - TE - @maxcrazy[/div]
Jiggly: How did you find sim leagues?
Max: My first sim league was Pro Baseball Experience (PBE). They had posted on /r/NewYorkMets and I decided to check it out. One thing lead to another and I joined. Then I had some people on my team that were heavily involved in NSFL and I decided to join that.
Jiggly: What was your first draft like?
Max: First draft in any sim league or my DSFL draft?
Jiggly: First draft in any sim league.
Max: My first draft was in Season Two of the PBE. I was really excited for it and looked forward to meeting my new teammates and getting to meet new people. I didn't have any real specific team in mind, I just wanted to go somewhere where I can hangout and have a good time.
Jiggly: Now, you're heavily involved in the PBE. Who or what helped push you to becoming more involved?
Max: Really it was just my enjoyment of baseball. I'm a huge baseball fan and the idea of getting to make my own player and help my team win was really exciting. I want to see the league do good and I want other people to have that excitement and enjoyment I had my first season and season to come afterwards
Jiggly: So, where would you like to go? In terms of just general things you'd like out of a locker room or even specific teams? What do you think?
Max: I've heard really good things about run_cmc's team the Outlaws and Slm's team the Hawks. But, I'd love to go anywhere that has a really chill vibe and has a group that is really fun to hangout with. I want to be a team player and help my team do good. As long as a team let's me do that and has at least a pretty active locker room I think I'd enjoy it there.
Jiggly: So, I have you listed at #18 on the Big Board. Do you think that's fair?
Max: Yeah I think that's fair. I don't need to be 1oa, I think Moore is a solid player and has a good future in front of him that can help a team out.
Jiggly: And the Draft has probably already been done, so what would you like to say to the GMs who passed on you?
Max: I think you missed out on a very solid player that was willing to switch position to help a team out. I'm already active and have a league job, and I plan on being very active in the future too. Moore would've been a solid pick for any team.
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]#19 - Football Sackerman - DL - @cpetrella[/div]
Jiggly: So, how did you find the NSFL?. And how did you find sim leagues?
Trella: Finding sim leagues was honestly a complete accident. I'm a total hockey geek and I wanted to learn about more leagues around the world besides the NHL. One day when I was researching the Swedish Hockey League, the SHL, I stumbled upon the Simulation Hockey League. It seemed pretty cool so I decided to try it out and I have been very involved in sim leagues ever since. I always kinda knew about NSFL, but I didn't bother joining until White Cornerback <Jiggly's Note: That's Dermot, if you didn't know> was drafted to the St. Louis Scarecrows in the SHL and convinced me to sign up. My first player didn't go to well as I had some irl stuff getting in the way, causing me to go inactive, but now that things are better and especially with the new PT affiliation with SHL and PBE, I have decided to try again and I'm really enjoying it
Jiggly: That's probably the coolest intro to the SHL I've ever heard. So, what was your first draft like? In sim leagues.
Trella: My first draft was into the SHL, not the SMJHL since I joined really late into S35 on SHL. I was fairly unknown to SHL GMs since I had joined so late, so it was really down to two teams who would draft me: the Calgary Dragons because of Jkortesi who was my SMJHL GM and the Edmonton Blizzard because of Ace who was becoming the Co-GM of the Blizzard while being my teammate and part of my draft class. I expected to go somewhere in the mid third round since I was in a very deep reddit class, but I ended up going late second round to the Calgary Dragons! Those who know me from SHL know that I’m now on the Edmonton Blizzard, so how did that happen? Well, shortly after the draft, I signed my entry level deal with the Dragons, and within the hour, Ace and Karl pushed to acquire me in a blockbuster deal that would ship Mike Izzy and a second to the Dragons for a first and myself. Seeing all my friends I made get drafted and then the trade afterwards made the Draft a pretty wild experience I will never forget!
Jiggly: I've also been involved in whirlwind trades. I was on three different teams within the span of about 10 minutes
Trella: Sounds like a good time lol.
Jiggly: So, you're a GM in the MiPBE (specifically my GM, I'm your Co-GM). What's pushed you to be more involved? Or who?
Trella: To be honest, I just really like the PBE and being involved in the league has kinda reignited my love for baseball. I’ve been having a lot of fun over there and I just wanted fo contribute more
Jiggly: So, where would you like to go? You mentioned how important those teammates in SHL were, so who would you like as teammates in the NSFL, whether it be a general thing or a specific team?
Trella: I’ll go anywhere honestly, I'm happy to meet new people. I just want a locker room where people are chatting and there isn’t just constant memeing.
Jiggly: So, I have you on my Big Board list at #19. Do you think that's fair?
Trella: I think it’s definitely fair. I’m not the biggest TPE earner here and there are a lot of guys who deserve to be above me for sure
Jiggly: So, speaking of people above you. I'm pretty sure the draft has already been done. What would you like to say to the GMs who didn't take you?
Trella: I respect your decision, but you’ll regret it when Sackerman gets to your QB. <Jiggly Note: There was an emoji that I will now express in a .gif right underneath here>
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]#20 - Will Foster - DL - @ztevans[/div]
Jiggly: So, how did you find the NSFL and I guess specifically for you, how did you find sim leagues?
Zach: So I actually "found" the NSFL when it first opened for Season 1 and was advertised on SHL. I joined the SHL from a Reddit post in the summer of 2016, and that was my first exposure to sim leagues. I re-joined the NSFL heading into the last DSFL draft after a combination of the new welfare program and, honestly, TC, pestering me non-stop about it. I'm glad I did, though! I've really enjoyed my return, it's a much different league than it was 10 seasons ago, and a much better league in my opinion.
Jiggly: What was your experience with your first draft? I guess your first SHL draft would be applicable for you.
Zach: With both that SMJHL and SHL draft, it was a lot of buzz and excitement. Being in a Reddit draft put me in a massive group of people who were all very excited, since for most of us it was our first sim league and it was all new and fresh to us. And neither time I was terribly sure where I'd go, so it was a lot of nervous energy to see where I'd end up and who my new teammates would be. Honestly, while I've been through quite a few drafts at this point, some of that same energy is there for me with this draft as well.
Jiggly: Who or what got pushed you towards being more involved with sim leagues. You were in the SHL HO for a long time, very involved with SCOR while it was still a thing, and I'm sure there's other things I don't remember.
Zach: (It was SMJHL HO fwiw)
Jiggly: Oops. But go on.
Zach: I guess, it depends on what the job was? Not trying to avoid the question at all, it just honestly depended on the situation. In the case of GMing, one of the first people to push me in that direction was akamai on the SHL, who had been my first updater as well. Even though she was applying for (and eventually got) the same job, she really encouraged me to pursue that opening and others, and that's how I got started with that. With the HO deal, it was more just seeing an opportunity to improve the league in an area that interested me a lot. The SCOR thing, honestly, was Wally's brain child, and I ended up being his sounding board on a lot of stuff, and the more and more it went from "I have this crazy idea" to "This might actually work" the more I bought in and wanted to help him with it.
Jiggly: So, where would you like to go in this league? Whether you have a specific team in mind or there's a general locker room feel you're looking for.
Zach: I don't have a specific team in mind. I've had conversations with nearly every team in the league at this point, and there haven't been any red flags to speak of. I have heard as a defensive lineman, there are plenty of opportunities in the league to earn yourself a spot, so playing time isn't a huge concern even if it doesn't come right away. The biggest thing will be going into a room that has a lot of fun people so that I'll want to hang out with them and improve for them.
Jiggly: Now, on my Big Board I have you at dead center on the list at #20. Do you think that's fair?
Zach: That sounds about right. I went 18th in the DSFL draft, so not a huge rise or drop from there. I missed out on some TPE opportunities during September leading up to and during Hurricane Florence. Working at a grocery store before a natural disaster sucks, in case anyone was wondering. Avoid it if you can. I haven't been doing media to buy equipment, although I recently started helping out with the Wiki team. So yeah, I know I'm not a top earner in the class, I've missed some stuff, and figure I'll probably be in that third round range.
Jiggly: Speaking of where you'll be going, the draft's probably already been picked. What would you like to say to any of the GMs who'll pass over you?
Zach: Nah. I know there are plenty of solid options in this draft, including some other defensive linemen. I've gone inactive on this league before, I haven't been a max earner. I can't talk shit <Jiggly Note: There was an emoji that I will now express in a .gif right underneath here>.
![[Image: Emilia-Clarke-LOL.gif]](http://gif-finder.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Emilia-Clarke-LOL.gif)
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]#35 - Curtis Saul - DL - @Evok[/div]
Jiggly: How did you find the NSFL? Or, I guess in your case, how did you find sim leagues?
Evok: Reddit, I found SHL first, by reddit. I had saved one of their recruitment post but when I checked I was intimidated by it. I was checking my saved post one day, like a year after, and I saw it and decided to jump in it. I actually ended up being in another reddit draft, just not the same the post was advertising for. Then I found NSFL when it was created through SHL.
Jiggly: Cool. So what was your first draft like?
Evok: Still general league or NSFL?
Jiggly: General; Since the NSFL you'd already be an "experienced player"
Evok: It was ... interesting. I had joined my draft class like only 5 days before the draft. I tried then my best to create as much activity as I could to be drafted earlier. I ended up being drafted like 23rd which wasn't that amazing but better than last that's for sure.
Jiggly: I guess that's a good enough segue. I have you at 35th on my Big Board. Out of 40. What do you think about that? Is it fair?
Evok: It depend what you were looking at. If it was only TPE, that's totally fair. If it was activity, it wasn't. I have done every PT, TR and AC since I joined. I only haven't done weekend trivia and generated media. Media will probably be always the same as I am not interested to write about American football, but weekend trivia, maybe one day I'll do them.
Jiggly: Don't worry, I think you'll be getting money from this. So, back to the whole "first time" thing, who were some people who helped to push you to being more involved. You're not really involved in the NSFL, but you used to be a GM in the GOMHL, you're still a major figure in the PBE, and you're the simmer in SHL. Who helped you out?
Evok: It changed through the last year. At first I had Pris and the S36 class. Pris was the best sim league mentor I ever had. After that, I have TDZ now and Majesiu who are really helping me to actually stay active in the sim league, as I considered leaving many times already. As for activity, that's just my normal self. I always want to do more and help out where I can.
Jiggly: So that brings me to the question of what kind of Locker Room are you looking at? In terms of just a general atmosphere or even a specific one that you've heard about.
Evok: I'm not sure I'm going to join the NSFL locker room tbh. but what I look for is no toxicity, even if it's for 'fun'.
Jiggly: Yeah, that's a big no. I don't think there are any LRs right now that have that, although there is a history of it. So, I'm pretty sure the draft has already been run through. Is there anything you'd like to say to the GMs who may have passed you up on Draft Day?
Evok: Would it be any other league I'd say, "Suck it I'll show you what you missed," but my history on nsfl isn’t amazing so I'll go with, “<Jiggly Note: It was an emoji that I will now express in a .gif right underneath here>”
![[Image: tenor.gif]](https://media.tenor.com/images/9f59a4f4e18e0d3795186e8ce2979dcd/tenor.gif)
That’s all. Be sure to watch the NSFL Draft stream later this week on Friday October 12th at 8PM EST on the NSFL Twitch channel to listen to me and TC pick apart the draft as it happens and maybe even bring in a few guests in the process. Who knows, if you’re a rookie that guest might be you!
First, it's the list. So, I took all the combine results I was given, threw in TPE numbers, used my old GM skills to gauge activity, and put reputation into consideration when making this list. Another thing I wanted to do was talk to a few people on this list just to see what they think about the league and sim leagues as a whole. I chose these people because of their stature in other leagues, their history within this league, and also because a good deal of these people are friends (or at least teammates). So here's that:
