So many don’t know but right before the NSFL draft Action had a freak accident that left him temporarily blind. While him and a few friends, Ennis and Saba and Mervin, was at a gentleman’s club one of the laser lights hit Jackson in the eye and I went temporarily blind for a few weeks. As you can imagine this wasn’t good for his draft stock.
As he visited teams he had to wear patches on his eyes to keep the sunlight and such out as it would give him headaches and such. All the GMs he met loved his play making ability and his size for a wr. What they didn’t tell him was that bc of his current disability they had all agreed that they would hold on on draft day for his services. This would cost Jackson millions of dollars to start his career.
After speaking with Colin Kapernick, Jackson has decided to hire the same lawyers that represented Mr. Kapernick in his lawsuit and got him millions in a settlement. Lawyer “Mr. Jackson deserves to be awarded all of the money that he deserved to be rewarded for his hard work before the freak accident and the pure discrimination that took place afterwards as well. Along with the league we will be suing Landing Strip LLC for not having the proper equipment safety precautions. My client was enjoying a very gracious dance from a young lady in a private back room when a light beamed into his eye causing a temporary disability but caused long term financial harm. The conspiracy from front office down to discriminate against my client, even as they all agreed he was a first round talent, has put my client in a financial situation he’s hard pressed to get out of now. We will have a future comment later on. Thank you”
On a conference call with reporters Jackson had this to say. “ You guys know I deserved a first round slot and everyone knows I had earned that money. I didn’t find out until now about the reasoning behind the fall. After careful consideration and speaking with my GM and Mr. Kapernick, I’ve decided I will try to recoup the money I’ve worked since childhood to get. There was no reason the Landing Strip should’ve had the light flash in that room. I won’t answer questions about what was occurring or occurred in the room but know this, it was mutual between two adults and legal. All speculation and rumors are untrue. I will now refer questions to my lawyers for future reference. While I’m very happy with where I am in NOLA and love my teammates, I feel this is needed for my future children. Thank you “
