*Jeffery Murphy steps you the podium, microphone in hs d, he prepares to take questions and announce where he plans on signing*
“After careful consideration, I looked at the Chicago Butchers, the Hawks, and the Yeti, I have decided to join some of my old friends in the Windy City. I will be a butcher!”
*Questions come pouring in from all directions*
He points to a caucasian man up front who proceeds to ask “Why did you not give consideration to your former team, the Arizona Outlaws? You have been very outspoken about their management being good and how much you love the team, how come you didn’t stay?”
His smile fades. “They stabbed me in the back. I was planning on returning to the Outlaws when they told me that they made moves without asking if I wanted to come back to Arizona. I knew that I needed a change of scenery from the snakes of Arizona.”
“Why did you choose to go to Chicago when you could have better stats and money in the Hawks franchise?”
He hesitated. “I love the team in Chicago. Ultimately it was between the two franchises, but after talking it over with my family and my wife, I knew I was making the right choice.”
“Who mostly motivated you to join the Butchers?”
He pointed to a corner of the room that had his family in it. “That girl right there. My wife is my biggest supporter and she knew that this would be the best decision for me.”
He pointed to another yelling reporter, a lad in a Green sweater.
“Thank you Mr. Murphy, What is your role going to be in the complicated Butchers offense?”
“I plan on playing a Tarik Cohen type role, like from the old NFL days. You know, slot WR/Pitch RB combo, my speed is my strength, might as well play to it. Last question, you in the red, third row.”
“Based on your previous statement, the Outlaws were clearly against keeping you by ‘stabbing me in the back’, is going to Chicago, a well known rival in their division, kind of like punishment to them?”
He laughed, He then put the mic closer to his face and whispered, “Oh hell yeah.”
