In light of recent events, the same team that investigated the tampering accusations has made the decision to ban DylanDeluxe permanently, effective immediately.
The short reason that I personally gave to DD was - ‘for publicly airing personal attacks on players and for targeted harassment specifically to cause trauma to members of this league.’
The long reason is, this is not the type of conduct we want to tolerate in this league. The purpose of this league is to have fun and we want a positive experience for everybody. The intent behind DD’s thunderdome server was malicious and served his purpose to tear down the person that he felt wronged him a couple short months ago. In a private conversation I had with DD, he stated that he knew what he did was messed up and that he did what he needed to do.
I want to make it abundantly clear that DD is not being punished for ‘blowing the whistle’ on a potential tampering case. However, there are avenues to report that, and instead of reporting his findings to HO, he aired it out publicly in the midst of acting upon a personal vendetta.
For a long time we have been working under an unspoken “don’t be a dick” rule that seemed to have worked - for a while. I’ll say it here to be clear: Targeted attacks, bullying, and harassment are not tolerated by this league, and any attacks on a user will be subject to punishment on a case by case basis.
