If you've been living under a rock for the past week, the ISFL has been hosting its second charity event, and everyone has gone crazy on the auctions this time round. I had 2 milestone goals accepted, and the one I'll be discussing is the first one: racing up Pikes Peak.
For those of you that don't know, Pikes Peak is a mountain located in Colorado that is part of the southern Rockies. Located in the mountains, is a 12 mile long stretch of road used in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, one of the most dangerous racing circuits still regularly being used in the world. With nothing between you and the mountain but an occasional guard rail, it is one of the most challenging race tracks in the world.
I will be tackling the hill climb in BeamNG.drive, one of the best soft body car physics sim on the commercial market today and a decently competent racing sim. I have selected three cars that I think are appropriate for the climb, and I want you guys to vote on which one I'll be racing up the mountain with. Let's meet them!
Cherrier Vivace Rally Spec
![[Image: nu6e7Xk.jpg]](https://i.imgur.com/nu6e7Xk.jpg)
Car Type: Hatchback
Production Year: 2020
Engine: 1.6L inline 4 turbocharged engine, producing 376 horsepower and 358 ft-lbs of torque
Drivetrain: AWD
Weight: 2866lbs (7.63lbs/hp)
Starting off with one of my favorites, the Vivace is a pure-bred rally car. With a compact frame, a heavily modded inline 4 engine, race tires and a full complement of race upgrades, the Rally Spec is a monster on both gravel and tarmac. Since Pikes Peak is a paved road, I have gone with the asphalt variant, which has a more aggressive aero package as well as full racing slicks.
Gavril Vertex NA2 Time Attack Spec
![[Image: tALhJnh.jpg]](https://i.imgur.com/tALhJnh.jpg)
Car Type: Sedan
Production Year: 2007
Engine: 2.5L inline 5 twin-turbo engine, producing 1001 horsepower and 791 ft-lbs of torque
Drivetrain: AWD
Weight: 3020lbs (3.06 lbs/hp)
While the base Vertex NA2 might be an average mid-2000s American sedan, this version goes the complete opposite direction. With an incredibly aggressive aero package, two massive turbochargers and an all-wheel drive drivetrain, this thing is a monster. It may lack the pedigree of the Vivace, but this spec of the Vertex pushes the car to its breaking point.
Soliad Wendover Hill climb Spec
![[Image: TNSZ13w.jpg]](https://i.imgur.com/TNSZ13w.jpg)
Car Type: Coupe
Production Year: 1987
Engine: 4.4L V8 supercharged engine, producing 650 horsepower and 701 ft-lbs of torque
Drivetrain: AWD
Weight: 3704lbs (5.7 lbs/hp)
While the Wendover might be getting a bit long in the tooth, with this variant she has been brought up to a proper racing spec. Featuring a massive supercharged V8 engine (the original engine was a V6), slick tires, a hillclimb aero package and full race upgrades, it is a great in-between car. Not quite as powerful as the Vertex, but has the horses to outrun the Vivace.
So there you have it! Every car that I think would be fun to take up Pikes Peak. Below, I have a quick google poll where you can give your opinion. If you do answer, I thank you very much. Now let's get some racing done for charity!

also if yall could spread this to your various LRs that would be awesome
