After a slurry of speculation surrounding the NSFL’s star linemen Jayce Tuck and Vincent Sharpei training together in Chicago, we were able to sit down Jayce Tuck down for an interview with all-star Daily Planet reporter Clark Kent.
Clark Kent: Jayce, you were training this offseason with Vincent, is that a usual thing for you or does it have to do with his impending free agency?
Jayce Tuck: Look Clark, if you want to be the best you’ve got to beat the best. Working with a guy like Sharpei all offseason only makes both of us better prepared to perform for our respective teams in the regular season.
CK: So you weren’t recruiting Vincent to the Outlaws next season?
JT: Vincent and I go way back to when he was a young prospect; we talked about football, our kids, and football technique. He’s a good player and we’re both trying to perfect our craft.
CK: Alright Jayce I’ll let that one go. Do you always spend the off season training with players? Or is this an exclusive thing with Vincent?
JT: No man, I train with players all of the time, all over the country. My brother Jaxon actually spent some time training with Vincent and I in Chicago.
Jaxon Tuck stumbles into the room covered in bruises…
CK: Jaxon, what the hell happened to you?
Jaxon Tuck: I missed a few days of training and I…looks nervously at Jayce…fell down some stairs.
CK: Jesus how many flights of stairs did you fall down?! Anyways, how has the offseason training been going with Jayce and Vincent?
Jaxon Tuck: I was forced to be here. Somebody kidnapped me from my house outside of Phoenix and I got thrown out of a van in downtown Chicago. Jayce happened to be in town and said I made it just in time for mandatory offseason workouts.
CK: So you’re not enjoying the training with some of the best players in the league?
Jaxon: No. But I was shown the light. I made a commitment to this league and I need to stick it out.
CK: You're not enjoying them? So why are you here then?
Jaxon: I’m just here so I won’t get fined.
CK: Who’s going to fine you? Aren’t these volun…
Jayce stands up, loudly coughing.
JT: Well thanks for the interview, Clark. My brother has got to get back to work. He’s going to go chase that second ring.
CK: Alright, Jayce. Back on track. You don’t want to talk about Vincent, can you tell us anything about the woman you two were seen with at the Waldorf?
JT: Ah, sure. Ivana Stormblessed? She’s a nice lady, we took her out to a nice seafood dinner. She told Vincent and I that she had been begging Stormblessed to take her to see the Eiffel tower after his big payday but he’s been too busy with his future “fashion” career.
CK: So, you and Vincent took Stormblessed’s mother to Paris?
JT: We didn’t take here to Paris, but she got to experience the Eiffel Tower.
CK: Well, I think that’s enough of an interview for today Jayce. Thank you.
JT: Thanks Clark. Have a good afternoon.
