Man, this was really great to listen to, hearing a solid GM give his insights on a lot of things that went down.
Orosz didn't know about the trade when he signed with Yellowknife. It was done with his consent, but he had no part in initiating it. I had a huge part in initiating my trade. Liberty and Legion were both interested, and I made the price higher for Philly due to my demand of the compensatory picks if they didn't sign me, but Bzerkap wanted Ridley, so that sealed it. All in all, I think Yellowknife will have the smoothest rebuild we've seen. I could easily see them still staying at .500 this year and still having great draft picks in a LOADED draft. I wanted out, though. I wasn't unhappy in Yellowknife, but the moment Vegas won the bet my heart just wasn't in Yellowknife anymore. I needed to move somewhere, and while I expected it to be the Legion, their signing of Fulton and Carter made that more preference than requirement, so I just made sure they got something out of all that drama. They earned it, and I think all 3 teams really got something they wanted out of the deal. As for me, I went from being part of the league's top CB duo in Yellowknife to the league's new top CB duo in Philly. But now I feel like I am on a team able to beat the Hawks and give the NSFL its first watchable Ultimus. ![]() |
