Former University of Michigan DT Josh Cameron is available to answer questions from the media.
Hermes Conrad from the Jamaican Gazette:
Looking around, it seems like no one has put together a draft profile of you. Have you been flying under the radar, or is there just not much interest?
It seems that throughout my career I've flown under the radar and went on to shatter expectations at every level so far. This is just another case of that.
What animal would you compare yourself to?
I'd compare myself to a polar bear, as they are often overlooked when talking about the most dangerous animals, just like me.
Who was your favorite opponent to play while at Michigan?
My favorite team to play against was definitely Ohio State.
Would you prefer to play in a warmer or colder sim city? Why?
I've always lived in cold climates, and am not a big fan of high temperatures, so colder cities.
Is there any team out there right now who is showing interest in you? If not, are there any teams you're more interested in than others?
Having just recently been approved for the draft, I have not been the target of a lot of interest, and other than teams in colder climates I have not team preference.
What do you think about Katy Perry's new butch haircut?
I'm not a huge fan of it personally, but at the end of the day, if it makes them happy, that's all that matters.
Gerald McCoy or Ndamakung Suh?
Growing up Suh was on of my favorite players, so I did my best to model my game after him, without all of the anger issues it seems he has.
Which quarterback in the draft do you most want to piledrive?
I'm an equal opportunity piledriver and hope to get the chance to sack each and every QB(except the one's on my team) but if I had to choose just one, I guess I'll go with Tim Tebow.
Does Jim Harbaugh make his players call him daddy?
He does not.
Make America Great Again?
It's already great.
Brandon DeMone from the Louisiana Muckraker:
You missed the All American Bowl - what do you think the selection committee overlooked about you?
That I believe had more to do with a technical issue, as I was not approved as an NSFL prospect until 24 minutes after the rosters were announced.
With 8 Defensive Tackles already in the draft, have you considered your future if you don't hear your name called until late on draft day if teams are primarily focussed on 3-4 or nickel formations?
I do believe I have a future in this league. If those are the primary schemes I do believe I could be utilized in a 3-4 by kicking outside and playing DE in that scheme.
Would you play special teams, or try to work your way up the depth chart with hard work and frequent press releases?
I'll play wherever my coach wants to put me, but I'll work as hard as I can in order to play primarily on the D-Line
Have you ever played on the Offensive side of the line? Do you think you could contribute?
I have not played on the offensive line since high school, so I'm not sure that would be a valid option.
If called upon to play outside of your natural DT position would you dedicate yourself to your new role or try to work your way back onto the defensive side of the ball?
I do believe I could play all along a defensive line, outside of that there's not a position I could see myself being successful at.
What do you feel your duty as a defensive tackle is?
As a DT I feel my duty is to push the interior of the offensive line back. In my opinion disrupting the middle of the pocket causes the most mayhem to QB's.
Does it bother you that DT's don't typically put up great stats?
No, it really doesn't. At the end of the day, my goal is to win championships, so as long as my presence is felt and I can cause pressure, require double teams to free up other rushers, etc. And the team is successful I'll be happy.
Would you be open to playing DE as well?
I'd be willing to play anywhere on the defensive line.
Who was your favorite coach at UM?
Besides the obvious Harbaugh answer, Greg Mattison the DL coach was an amazing coach and did a lot to get me to where I am today.
What was your favorite college victory?
My favorite college victory was beating Florida in the Citrus Bowl.
