FIRST ROUND PICKS - WHERE ARE THEY NOW
The coveted first round pick is almost guaranteed to help find a franchise their cornerstone or that last final piece to help guide them to the promise land, a championship. Let’s go back season by season and see how each first-round pick did in the NSFL.
SEASON ONE INAUGURAL DRAFT
1st Overall
Orange County Otters - J.J Reigns
J.J Reigns was the first ever draft pick in the NSFL, so with a title like that he had big expectations (at least in my eyes). Mr. Reigns started off as a DT, listed as the first DT to ever be created in the league. In his first season, he did not put up spectacular numbers but was a key in the Otter’s defense which let up the least amount of points in the inaugural season. He even earned a pro bowl nod in the league’s infant stage. After a 2 tackle 1 sack game, the Outlaws took the Otters out of the playoffs. Next season Reigns returned with a slightly worse year. The Otters still had a top 3 defense in the league, but had slipped from last season. Season 3 Reigns had sat out for unknown reasons to me (not knowledgeable in NSFL history

BEST SEASON: SEASON 1 46 TACKLES 4 TFL 14 SACKS
