I would just like to clear the air on a few subjects before you decide to draft me. First and foremost, I'd like for you to judge me based on my current player. Don't sit there and be like "Well he has had x amount of players and only earned y amount of TPE with those players." I completely get why you would want to link me to the past but I'd like to remind you that that already has happened and there is nothing I can do to change the fact that those players retired before really getting a chance to prove what they could do. I have gone on in many of leagues and retire a plethora of players way before they should have been. I get it. You will judge me to be a flight risk and you will look at me like "Well there is the chance he retires." You know, I have heard it all. "I took x player because I was afraid you might retire early", "I wanted someone I know who would last long term." or "I went with this player because they haven't retired early." I have heard the same song and dance from too many GM's that it has become routine to me. I know the accusations, I know the truth and to be honest, I don't even know when I am going to retire a player. It's not like I sit around thinking how long a player will last for me before creation. I don't plan to retire way in advanced while having an active player. It's one of those spur of the moment things to be honest. Now does that completely scare the shit out of a lot of GM's? Yes. As it should. I have had players last anywhere from a month (I think that is the earliest) to well almost 7 seasons worth. While I have not gone a full career, I can say I have enjoyed EVERY single player that I have ever had in some way, shape or form. So I ask you, as the GM of a team, please take into consideration that this player I am on is different and here is why.
With Lucari Felix, I have only missed one point task so far and literally beat myself up over it. You can ask the guys in the Portland Pythons discord or even To12143 about how pissed I was to find out there is no PT makeup, (those in HO, make this a future purchase). I was at the point where I was ready to start over from scratch because of that. It was literally like I had been punched in the stomach. I felt like I had already failed myself and ruined what I wanted to create with the legacy of Lucari Felix. I know some people have missed multiple PT's and I might end up missing a few more myself, but it just felt like I didn't care. I know that now I am fully focused on this player and I want to set out to prove every hater or doubter wrong in this league. My past may be on display around the boards, but the future is the only thing you can not see. I am the only one who controls Lucari's future and right now it is shining brighter than ever before. I set out a goal this season in the DSFL to try and obtain the interception record for a season. The record coming into the year was seven I believe so I knew I had to get eight in order to hold down that spot. I might not have been the first person to do it, but damn it I would not let that person be the only one to hold that record. Going into the final two games, I sat with four interceptions on the season with only one returned for a touchdown. Now I remember the first game of those final two where I grabbed an interception and after the game was over, I said "I am screwed. How do I plan on getting three picks in one game". Now I know what you are thinking here. "There is no way in hell that he gets those final three interceptions. He might get one if he is lucky but three is something very rare around here." Well I can tell you one thing. I thought the exact same thing going into that final game. Who would have known that I would end up grabbing those final three interceptions and returning two of them for six points each respectively. To say my career has been dull so far is an understatement. These final two games though? Completely changed how I felt about Lucari and I realize that he can do great things.
With the season 10 NSFL draft roughly less than a week away (give or take a few extra days), I want you as the GM to remember, Lucari Felix is better than every single player that I have pushed out so far in this league. I have been focused with him since day one with only one task in mind. I want to be the best corner back that the NSFL has ever seen. I want all the records, I want the titles, I want the camaraderie and I want to make history. I want to go down as the guy that will be talked about for seasons to come. I want new guys to come in and be like "Wow, this Lucari Felix guy was amazing." I want that feeling. I want it to be known that I am coming for all the records and I am going to be the best that has ever done it. I have that mentality in my mind and I know I can achieve that if I just push myself to those lengths. I just have to keep myself focused on the task at hand and the rest will be history.
So when you, the GM come to me with your draft interviews, please keep in mind that I am a different person with Lucari Felix as my player. I want you to interact with me as if we have known each other for years. I want you to act as if I am more than just a player, but rather someone who you want on your team. I want you to have as much faith in me as I do in you as the GM of the team. I always back my GM 100% in whatever they decide. Just know that you are getting a guy who has NEVER gone to free agency with a single player in his entire 8+ years as a sim league user. Granted some have just been retirements but I have never left via free agency. Either the GM had traded me away or well retirement took over. I do intend on keeping Lucari around as long as possible and I want to do something no one else has ever done. Just know that when you draft Lucari Felix and you deal with the Official DT agency, you will be getting someone who is outspoken at times but backs his team 1000%. You will get passion, loyalty and the fire to win. I want to be the best that I can be and with your help, I can do just that. All you have to do is give me just one chance to show you that I can achieve greatness and I can guarantee that I will not let you down. If you as a GM decide to pass me up, I know there will be 7 of you who do, just know that I will make you regret passing me over and I will haunt your championship dreams for my entire career. I know it's hard to say that when I have never gone a full career, but I have done some pretty great things over a shorter career with less. So I implore you to exhaust every option when it comes to drafting me and I want you to think, "Will I be the one who takes a chance on this kid or will I be the one who will regret passing him over". Just keep that in mind because I know you would not want to be on the wrong side of this decision.
I also need to cram in some words for 1,500 total so I just want to thank the people who have helped me get where I am today. The Portland Pythons took a chance on me and I have given them my everything and shown them they did not make a mistake in drafting me. I also want to thank the New Orleans Second Line for always being like a second home to me with any player. They took a chance I believe on one to two players, so thanks for that. Thanks to the Kansas City Coyotes as well for being a great locker room to be in as well. Thank you to all the GM's and players that I have got the pleasure of teaming up with or playing for over the course of every one of my players. It's time for the big time with this player and it's time to set the NSFL on fire with my talent.
