Oh, game night in NSFL. Obviously the Hawks are winners and they deserve some good stuff. So they play go fish but it is a very interesting one. Everytime you pickup a card, you drink beer. And lots and lots of beers. It should be enough to make all of us drunk. It so much fun that we play every night. God knows where we get the beer from.

The truth is if the game goes just too far, the Hawks are playing drunk in the game and maybe that is why they lose. I mean we would not blame our selves for this. It is such a lit game. Roenick and Goodson have food chemistry on field and also off field. They both continue to help each other and ot course others think it is unfair.

It is honestly a pretty stupid game compared to poker, monopoly but who doesn't like beer and fish!

Westfield has been an avid player of first person shooters before and during his NSFL career. He prides himself on being ranked in a few games around the world. One of which is called “Insurgency.” In this game you can play against other players as the Security team or the Insurgents. You get a wide array of weapons and modifications. Westfield’s plan of attack would be to rush his teammates who are still trying to figure out the mechanics and controls of the game. It would likely not be fun for them. Maybe after some time he would let them explore and figure things out but a first victory is key for setting the mood and pace. Just like in the NSFL. No one ever wants to start off with a loss. But you must remember that it is always the last game that most people remember about the season. It doesnt matter how many during the season as long as you push through the playoffs and make that Ultimus game.

Okay so it's game name and all of us teammates are hanging out. We usually all bring something over to one of the guys house to play. We usually have some drinks when we play too. One of my favorites that I always bring is settlers of Catan. It's an extremely fun game and we all get really into it. Of course I'm a master of the game so I haven't ever lost, to my teammates that is. They kind of all hate to play it though because I keep winning. Maybe if they just teamed up and went against me they'd actually win? Another game we always play is dungeon and dragons. A little nerdy yes. But who cares we play football. We usually have games that take us into practice the next day. It is worth being tired for practice though because we get so into it.Game night always a fun night in Yellowknife.

It’s a well-known fact to the Baltimore Hawks that Alexandre LeClair is an avid simulation racing fan, having his own fancy rig and all. In fact, when he just wants to relax after a long day of training or pandering to the media he often boots it up for some iRacing fun. However, he surprised his whole team when on Game Night he busted out his old Nintendo 64 for some Mario Kart fun with the boys. Setting up a tournament for it where the top 2 of each group moved on until the top 4 racers remained to duke it out in the grand final on the Special Cup.
It was a funny turn of events as LeClair crashed out of his own tournament in the first round thanks to a blue shell, courtesy of Turk Turkleton, which left him fuming, calling this a ‘stupid game’ before going to play poker with some of the other guys. Taylor Owen would go on to win the tournament with a perfect display of mastery on Rainbow Road, taking the shortcut twice in three laps. It was a good evening of fun for everyone and a much needed mental rest from the playoffs race in the NSFL.

So Turkleton is an avid fan of the board game Trivial Pursuit. While never really being an A grade student and shining out throught his school life, Turkleton likes to believe he has a lot of random factual knowledge which is great in a game like trivial pursuit. It's probably one of the most played board games in the turkleton resident. Rumor has it Turkleton orders specially made packs with new questions just to keep the game fresh.

Turkleton has a lot of great memories from playing this game. Back to when he was a child and would keep beating his parents and siblings during their game nights. At one point it was decided that Trivial Pursuit would no longer be played, to great upset of young Turkleton. He joined a board game club, until he got kicked out of it, due to his constant nagging to play Trivial Pursuit and his constant winning of the game.

Robby Rainey knows that winning in the DSFL takes a rare combination of strategic analysis, killer instinct, and relentless pursuit of perfection in the face of overwhelming opposition. Because he knows this about the league that he calls home, Robby Rainey brings Tabletop wargame Warhammer 40,000 to the team’s operations center on game night. Rainey sold management on the idea of 40K Saturdays serving as a teambuilding and developmental tool for a Coyotes squad that has many more young players than veterans, and persuaded ownership to invest in what can only be called a “substantial” collection representing the grand majority of units from every 8E Codex. Rainey has just finished touching up a nasty 2K ITC list that runs Ynnari Dark Reapers for alpha strike along with a core of Shadow Spectres to hold objectives and soak up fire. Rainey’s matchup this week is a unique Ork list from @`BenLongshaw` that has been described as “Orks, Orks, and a few more Orks”.

At a certain point, Boss Tweed got tired of losing football games on the field, so he decided to take matters into his own hand. He fired up the most recent version of Madden and made a full set of custom rosters for the NSFL teams. Every time the Yeti play a team, Tweed challenges one of their players to a Madden rematch of the game. It heals the wounds of the loss a little bit when Boss Tweed can make the Madden version of himself run for 400 yards and 5 touchdowns against the team that just beat him in real life. Of course, there is some controversy about the fact that all of the Yeti's players have 100 overall ratings on Tweed's roster and the other teams don't have any players higher than 80 overall, but it's only fair to let the Yeti win at something. At least there are some good matchups when they have tournaments where every team but the Yeti is usable. Either way, the NSFL Madden games make for some fun game nights.

Game night with the Hawks is always lively. When they're not playing dungeons and dragons with a few other guys from around the league -- mostly slaughtering innocent animals because they're all horrible people, by the way -- they're playing various simulation games.

Before Matthew Vincent retired, he was "the sim guy" and ran simulated basketball tournaments between the guys on the Hawks roster. Antoine Delacour is the main man now, though. His patronage of Sim League League Simulator -- and part-ownership of the development company behind it -- gives him early access to the games, as well as some customised features and mods, which make multiplayer games with the rest of the guys on the roster. "Yeah, Avon [Blocksdale] is probably the biggest fan, but Greg [Fletcher] gets really into it too." Delacour reveals. "I'm still the champ, though."

Allegedly, Delacour is also developing an expansion pack for the latest Sim League League Simulator release entitled "Renegade Head Office", with the input of his teammates.

A lot of football players love Madden, but in Canada, stereotypes run true, and NHL hockey is king. After we watch the Senators lose, we’d fire up the Xbox, break out a 24, which is much easier to get, when the drinking age is 19, and we’d get real competitive. My style is just like what I try to be on the football field. I read the play and make sick interceptions. Sometimes my teammates would joke about me being psychic. I tell them the beer gives me powers of intuition.

Sometimes, after I’ve got them on edge, watching out for me, never making passes, I’ll switch it up and throw a big hit, and that’ll catch them off guard. Either way, the puck is mine, and I’m headed straight to the net. The key is to beat them early on. We play king’s court, and the guys that lose and sit out drink more and get worse, so they lose more.

Dean Jackson isn’t a fan of tabletop games, but he’s not nothing against them either. So, since he has a cousin who is a VERY big fan of tabletop games, Dean’s got a few favorites of his own he likes to play with his teammates. First, there’s Dominion: it’s a game using custom cards (not playing cards) where, to way oversimplify, players choose how to spend their gold and resources to build the biggest kingdom with the most estates. Then there’s Mysterium: a weird coooerative game where one person tries to lead the others to figure out who a murderer is (kinda like Clue, but again, cooperative) but can only communicate through really obscure pictures that look like they’re from an LSD addict’s dreams.

Apart from those tabletop games, there is one game Jackson LOVES, and wishes his teammates would play: Pokemon the trading card game. The video games are fine, but if you ask Dean, he’ll pick the card game every time.
