Uh thats not really how these leagues work though. The people who do jobs are the reasons for their success, you are right. However, if they aren't paid fairly they won't make it a priority. There are ways to earn large sums of money but technically that only gets you at the same spot every week (which is 3 TPE). So someone can earn as much money as their little heart desires, but they won't ever be higher off in TPE because of it over someone who just does $1 Million worth of GFX/Media per week. Its the nature of the beast.

A lot of people here are doing jobs because they want to help the league grow and see it successful.
And I think those are the people we want in those roles.
The money is just a small part of it.

If your primary concern is the money, then as you said you should focus on graphics and media.

I don't really understand your argument here man. You're talking about low pay but then complaining that you can't get a competitive advantage in TPE... Do you think jobs should pay TPE? Otherwise it sounds like you're complaining about the TPE system and not the job pay structure.

Both actually. Jobs should reward the job holder with TPE per week as an incentive to do the job every week. That's how it is in any league not named SHL or NSFL. If someone knows they will be getting 2 TPE extra just for having a job, you'll never ever have an issue with the number of people who apply for any jobs available in the league.

See you guys fail to see it because you come from the SHL. Instead of listening, it seems you're more willing to just defend the current system. Hell even in the Arizona LR I see guys who are SHL prominent members, talking about how the system here and SHL is so bland. You think it works because you've seen it in the SHL. However, when you go into other leagues you find out that for the amount of work you do under this system, it doesn't equal what you receive in return.

While you commented though, why the extra step? Why have people write a media article, then have that article graded for money and thrown into a bank only for them to withdraw it to go to TPE in their update thread. Why not just have them claim the TPE from their article directly in their update thread like how every other league does it. The SHL system is geared towards you guys and thats what it will attract. I'm in the SHL, I have a player close to 1400 TPE. I'm only at that stage because of the team I'm on, if it wasn't for that I would've quit long ago.

This is a difference of opinion, something leagues need. Not bitching like you claim.

Oh I see what you're saying, however you're not going to find someone who doesn't want to help out the league just solely because its TPE rewards instead of cash rewards. In fact being able to claim TPE from a job each week is more rewarding than getting a $3,000,000 payout....at the end of a season.

The system is what it is. I for one agree with @Kendrick because I've seen where other systems work a hell lot better. Updating in SHL was the worst job I've ever done from a time to incentive ratio and I am a commissioner in a successful league lol

In SBA we've almost never had issues hiring updaters, there's usually guys on a waitlist for the job because of the TPE incentive.

Then again I've never been a fan of the money system in the first place.

Not even the SHL members I've talked to are a fan of it. However, its the only system they are used to so they don't want to change. Something tells me thats the case here with the guys in charge. I wasn't even defending the system. I was just looking for some clarity in your complaint because it was all over the place. My best guess is that this is the system we're using because it is the system familiar to people who created this league (the ones busting their butts for you to have a game to enjoy). I can appreciate that it isn't a perfect system, but I assure you there is no perfect system. This is the system the league uses at the moment, and if you have a suggestion on how to change it then I think your best course of action is making a separate thread, and not hijacking a thread intended to find applicants for a job.

Exactly. TPE should be offered equally across the board, and you should get more TPE than someone by being more active than them.

Not every job is the same. I'm the GFX Head Grader in the SHL and I get paid $3,000,000 from what I was told. That's about $3,000,000 over 7 weeks of job duration and it costs me $1,000,000 to do training for 5 TPE. S0 basically I get paid about $425,000 each week which comes out to about 2 TPE per week to do the job. Considering their update scale, that means it would be a long journey for me to update things even in the 80's for attributes.

In the VHL I get paid 2 TPE per week to update and the upscale isn't as harsh so I actually feel like my job is helping my player.
