The part I get hung up on is I don't want someone to not be able to earn as much TPE as someone else just becuse they would rather only be a player and not take a job. Jobs are important, but I believe that everyone should have equal opportunity for equal TPE. I want jobs to be able to alleviate how you can earn those TPE, and not give you an outright advantage instead.

Because Jobs are the lifeblood of your league. If someone wants to be a casual sim leaguer and just have their player that is fine. They are a important part of the league. But any average member would agree that a guy that holds a job is doing the league a service to keep it running and should be rewarded for that. Otherwise that job isn't putting them any more important that the average guy who earns his training costs per week in Media and just stays with the Job guy at the same TPE level. You guys don't have to change it, it's fine. I get you're all used to the SHL way and are afraid of change.

I wasn't even defending the system. I was just looking for some clarity in your complaint because it was all over the place. My best guess is that this is the system we're using because it is the system familiar to people who created this league (the ones busting their butts for you to have a game to enjoy). I can appreciate that it isn't a perfect system, but I assure you there is no perfect system. This is the system the league uses at the moment, and if you have a suggestion on how to change it then I think your best course of action is making a separate thread, and not hijacking a thread intended to find applicants for a job.

I feel like it's good where it's at. These jobs are volunteer work basically that we don't even have to get paid for, 3 million a year is a good supplement to other income

You joined a day after me... where were all these complaints when there was actually time to implement your requests? Why didn't you point out the improvements you saw before the league got this far along? You had a chance to be vocal when the league was being created and you didn't say anything, so now the system is this way.

But yet I did. I mentioned it to several people and even Ballerstorm knew I was being critical of the league. Yes, flip the finger around and point it at me. All I get is that you guys are afraid of a difference of opinion because it's not the "SHL Way". I get it, it's okay.

Was that the school yard response? I wasn't saying you were scared. But it seems when things are brought up you guys already have your responses ready to go like a default answer is ready. You guys aren't exactly open to discussion on these things, this has shown that. Playing the passive aggressive route isn't helping.

As someone who comes from the SHL and really enjoys the system there, I think paying people holding jobs in TPE is a pretty good idea. 2 per week is not the end of the world.

I'm all for that equal opportunity bullshit but fact is, people who have jobs here spend a lot of time making sure the League runs smoothly. And yes, you can say, if you don't like it, quit, someone else will love to have your salary to do the job but that's not the point. What's so wrong about rewarding people who invest their personal time to make sure everybody else has fun?

I'm not trying to better my situation here because I have a job, and I always took my jobs on sim leagues seriously regardless of salary, but I just find the unwillingness to discuss a bit ridiculous.

I've always been a fan of the money system because if I want to be lazy for a week, I can still get max TPE but I think it's an interesting idea nonetheless.

Just to be clear, I am not opposed to discussion. The last thing I posted in this thread was part of a discussion and stating where I get hung up on the TPE for jobs setup

I have a hard time giving jobs a TPE advantage, but if there is support for it I am not against it. It has been brought up in head office and is being discussed there as well.
