Look if you consider it a rivalry go ahead, live your best life. To me, though, this doesn't look very rivalrous:


I see the Marshals as more little brother than genuine rival. Good for some competitive games now and then but ultimately too inconsequential to be worried about.

Plus the last time we relocated an unsuccessful DSFL franchise with a stolen minor league hockey logo nobody was up in arms - and the Solar Bears branding was way better than the Marshals. I'd understand this outrage more if it was the Pythons or Luchadores but for the Marshals it feels overdue. Now all the historically unsuccessful minors teams have been relocated or rebranded at some point - which is how minors should be, no?

I know you played for the Luchadores and I know you’ve been in this league longer than I have. I don’t see why this gives you an excuse to be an absolute asshole.

San Antonio is not some garbage bin, backwater scrub who’s lucky to even be licking the bootstraps of your precious Tijuana. By the amount of abuse and harassment SA perpetually got every single time the Marshals were brought up on Discord you’d have thought we’d killed somebody. I get it. We didn’t win ten fucking Ultiminis with our eyes closed like Tijuana can. That’s great for them. The Marshals were a proud, vibrant team, with both good and bad seasons (c’mon dude we were literally just in the Ultimini), a freaking fantastic culture and locker room, awesome GMs, and a welcoming environment. We’ve won two Ultiminis and should’ve been to a lot more. I’m tired of people like you acting like we need to win three Ultiminis in a row before we are allowed to talk to you again or be proud of what team we root for.

There’s plenty of great people in Tijuana, both past and present. Many of them are my friends. Some of them are not, but even though we have different viewpoints on a great many issues, we are able to talk to each other like regular people. Why do you insist on acting like the world revolves around the Luchadores?
