My biggest challenge is going to be the field goal posts this is my stressing out after missing some field goal kicks in practice.
In the first pre-season game, the Philadelphia Liberty faced off with the Las Vegas Legion. One of the best players on their team was also a man I would face off with. None Stormblessed was a fantastic Wide Receiver already last season and playing against him would be an honor. He had 52 catches for 971 yards and 7 touchdowns last season, which was an incredible performance all in all. It also showed his deep threat, with almost twenty yards per reception. Even if it was only pre-season, testing myself against the best of the best would be a great challenge but also very rewarding. In the end, I was not able to make a tackle or change the game in any way, but I like to think my coverage of him was solid in that game, as he only had three catches for 34 yards. He did have a touchdown, but I guess no one is perfect in their first game. Especially considering his deep threat capabilities, I would say this was a great success by our team to neutralize him like this. Still, our team won and Stormblessed was not a huge star in the game, all in all I can be happy with the results.
There is no question who the otters are gearing up to face: the outlaws. Last season the otters and the outlaws famously both achieved a record of nine and five, but the outlaws had the edge in the head to head record. For the semifinals conference championship game, the outlaws won a slight victory, even as the otters collapsed in the endgame.
This season, the Otters are back baby. With a retooled secondary, new defense, and upgraded offensive line, the Otters are ready to roll over the NSFL for the second inaugural season. This season may have its ups and downs, however the chaos of the offseason will show the superior Otters brainpower in the offseason matters. Week three against the outlaws, while again an away game for the Otters, will be the perfect opportunity to test the Otters powerful ground game plowing furrows into the blitzing Outlaws defense. Boss in the first season was plagued by interceptions, particularly by the outlaws secondary. Time will tell if the Otters outside skill receivers will be up to the task of securing the ball against the rough Outlaws corners and safeties. While unique strategies are being used in these exploratory games, an away game at the Outlaws little sandbox is always a fun game. Rafael Reyes doesn't have a specific player for a rival, or any certain team but he wants to be a starting cornerback somewhere so every single CB in the league is his enemy. Even those on the Ravens, Reyes is in constant competition with them to get an edge, but it has been difficult as the two cornerbacks in Baltimore are dedicated and very special players. It may not be this season, the next or the third but Reyes will work tirelessly to make a mark on the league. Currently he is playing at the safety position, a place he isn't exactly comfortable in but willing to play since it allows him to be on the field more. He has a specific disdain towards Cutter in a way, now that I think on it. It was likely the best shot he had at starting cornerback, to beat out Dirk through out the season which is definitely possible. Rafael intends to work hard this season and prove that the Wraiths made a mistake by shipping him off when they could have had a much better secondary come play-off time. Reyes has tremendous strength for his position and is deceptively quick, showing flashes of great poise as soon in the first pre-season game against the Otters.

As the pre-season begins, Ian Bavitz looks forward to get back onto the field and hit some people. More importantly, he looks to the day he gets to face the Arizona Outlaws again. A heart-wrenching loss in the playoffs left a bitter taste in Bavitz's mouth, a taste he intends to clear out by smashing the Outlaws offense into oblivion.
The Orange County Otters are experimenting with a 3-4 defense, and have placed Bavitz out of his natural position, ILB, into a pass-rushing OLB spot. Bavitz is thrilled at the opportunity to prove he can get after the passer, and cause Outlaws QB King Bronko all sorts of nightmares. Bavitz intends to bring the pain and cause disruption in the pocket, hopefully leading to turnovers for his team. The Outlaws have had the Otter's number in the previous season, winning four of the five meetings, including playoffs. Ian Bavitz cannot wait to exorcise the demon that is the loss-streak to the Outlaws. With his hard work during the offseason, and the help of his teammates, Bavitz hopes to show that the Orange County Otters are the true cocks of the walk in the ASFC, and the NSFL. I was most excited to play Vincent Sharpei of the San Jose Sabercats. He was one of the best prospects in the S2 draft, and as a rushing linebacker, I knew that it would be a tough challenge if I were ever matched up against him, and I'll admit, there was some sense of pressure with that game being my first for the Wraiths. It's not just Sharpei from the Sabercats though. It's the whole offensive line. The Sabercats have one of the best offensive lines in the league, and they weren't going to let up, even in a preseason game. They were trying to prove what they could do, and we were too. The Sabercats also had another prospect that I was excited to play, in Jordan Yates. As the 11th pick in the S2 draft, I knew he would be performing to standards. It was a great learning experience for me, and I felt like I played some great football! To be honest, I was really most excited just to get a chance, and from one of the league's best teams, I was pretty fucking happy, especially after my performance. I firmly believe I'll learn from that game and become, well, hopefully great!

Josh Garden. Just the name conjures up images of a diva, arrogance, ego, a chronic drug problem?, a complete lack of knowledge of how cornerback play works, and many other things. But damn it, I love going up against him. Fierce of the field, but a real class act. I know we love to give each other grief, but after the game there no love lost. Going up against him makes me a better player. I'm sure as we both improve as players, this will eventually become the marquis match-up that people get excited for every year. Last year he may have gotten the best of me once or twice, but I held him to some of his lowest numbers throughout the year.
I am also excited to go up against some of the rookies this coming year. I know teams will often put up their better receivers against me, but I hope every once in a while a team throws up a rookie receiver against me. I just want one opportunity to bring a college diva down a peg, show him how we do it in the big leagues. Get ready, I'm gonna light it up this coming season. Code: 200 Words ![]() ![]()
Adamle Tomlinson ended last year on a sour note, losing heavily to an amazing team in the Arizona outlaws but Tomlinson feels he is a part of a team even better. The Orange County otters might have struggled against them last season but this upcoming year will be completely different. The otters have added more talent and have everything they need to win an nsfl title against anybody who challenges them. Hes way faster, stronger and even bigger than he was last season which will lead to him surpassing his sack total by a fair amount. His stats are just beginning to pile up, he's got so much left he has not shown the fans of orange county that he is truly ready to do. His goal for this year? 14 sacks at least, 4 more than last year and will mean he'd gotten at least a sack every game. He won't stop until he brings home the ultimus cup to his favorite County, Orange county which is the place he calls home and always has. His spot at gm has made it so he can proactiacally mold the team to his liking and nothing is going to be the same after Tomlinson leaves his mark

Easy choice here. Blaster Blade is excited to face up against Angus Winchester, the regarded best offensive lineman in the league. After a perfect regular season, Angus Winchester gave up a sack to Blaster Blade. Blade is the only player in the entire league through an entire NSFL season to force a sack on the great Angus Winchester. The MVP has been working as he definitely was not happy about the sack the he gave up. Blade was definitely happy as he said " I was aiming for Angus. He was obviously the best offensive lineman and I definitely love competition. All I could think of was beating him. I needed to make a play and I'm glad it happened when it did. He was a little slow and I got past him after countless attempts. Hopefully I can make it happen against him."
Until the 4th week of the preseason with the matchup of the Colorado Yeti vs the Orange County Otters, fans will be left debating who will win in this matchup. We look to see if Blade improved his game enough to beat Angus for another sack as Angus also improved through out this offseason. Will Blade beat Angus again? Or will Angus hold his ground against one of the best rookies in his class, being drafted 2nd overall? [div align=center]
