The part I get hung up on is I don't want someone to not be able to earn as much TPE as someone else just becuse they would rather only be a player and not take a job. Jobs are important, but I believe that everyone should have equal opportunity for equal TPE. I want jobs to be able to alleviate how you can earn those TPE, and not give you an outright advantage instead.

Because Jobs are the lifeblood of your league. If someone wants to be a casual sim leaguer and just have their player that is fine. They are a important part of the league. But any average member would agree that a guy that holds a job is doing the league a service to keep it running and should be rewarded for that. Otherwise that job isn't putting them any more important that the average guy who earns his training costs per week in Media and just stays with the Job guy at the same TPE level. You guys don't have to change it, it's fine. I get you're all used to the SHL way and are afraid of change.
