I articulated my exact stance earlier in the thread, though. an appropriate increase in minimums is likely going to be insignificantly small on the player level without changing the cap in parallel, and if we change the cap to accommodate minimums we serve to do nothing but mess up the equipment/training pricing.
I debated something similar with someone in GM chat, but let's say NOLA had to pay Maj as if he were earning 150 tpe per season. His contract, over a three season life, would then be $9M instead of $6M. So NOLA saves $3M over the life of his 3-year deal. That averages out to $1M per season and that's quite frankly not something I see as problematic.
Okay. I see what you were referring to now. I think the concern of messing up training/equipment is a minor one. The league has changed a lot to do with money, like DSFL salaries, tweet money, etc, and gear/training has never been a concern. I think a change that increases parity, as I believe this would, is worth making gear SLIGHTLY easier to purchase.
