It may not be popular opinion by Mayran Jackson should be in the Top 50 player of Season 1. His numbers don't show that he is out there intercepting quarterbacks and piling up tackles but one thing is for sure. Quarterbacks are scared to throw in his direction and therefore they force throws in other areas. Jackson doesn't have a single interception on the year but because quarterbacks have been watching his college tape, they seem to be avoiding his area of the field. Jackson is a great safety and a middle of the field ballhawk. His playmaking skills and ability to run back returns make him a nightmare if a throw goes off line. His breaking on the ball scares quarterbacks and gives them nightmares before games. Teamed with his buddy Ryan Flock, Jackson and him are able to read offensives like a book and react right before snap. Mayran Jackson isn't going to be a popular choice for the Top 50 but he is one of the most dedicated players in the league at his craft. His safety skills and quite frankly his motor, are always finely tuned and running in high gear. Look for Mayran to be there every year.
