My favourite player name in the league has to be Ryan Fitzfatrick. While some players came close to taking the crown (I am partial to Scrub Kyubee, and my team mate Cesar Millan) it had to be Fitzfatrick.
There is just something so beautiful about the elegant wordplay created by changing a single letter. The simplicity of the change, signifying this isn't your grandfathers Fitzpatrick, this is Fitz after a Twinkie binge after seeing the Jets go 2-14 this coming season. I just love the thought process, you can tell as soon as they made the decision to play in the NSFL, it was going to be a lineman, and it was going to be FitzFat.
It is so subtle on draft day I heard a few people say Fitzpatrick, like the Harvard GOAT was gracing us with his enlightened presence. But no, the big man from Yale comes from no where to bring a sensible chuckle to the hearts and minds of the National Sim Football League.
