Chad Pennington has moved to Yellowknife for his NSFL team so he can no longer go for his morning runs with the dogs from the animal shelter in New York like he used to. His parents, Mad and Dad, have missed their sons dearly and have taken that over for him so now two dogs get to go for morning runs/walks instead of one! Chad on the other hand has found a new animal shelter to run with dogs at in the morning. He starts each day with a run with one of the shelter dogs, usually 4 miles but if the dog gets too tired to run he picks up the dog and carries it back to the shelter so sometimes he isn't able to go his regular distance. Next he goes to the gym and does bench presses. Nothing but bench presses. People might say that isn't enough to work all of the required muscle groups but it's worked for him so far. If his season stats start going downhill he'll look for a new routine, but he likes this one right now.
Gus T.T. Showbiz, like most professional football players, spends a lot of time in the weight room honing his muscles into a well-oiled athletic machine. He starts of his morning with a high-protein breakfast and heads to his home gym. He starts off with three sets each of bench press, incline press and seated overhead press.
Once that's complete, he moves to the squat rack for three sets of squats, both front grip and back grip. He then moves onto deadlifts. Once the main upper body and lower body exercises are complete, he moves into more detailed work on the muscle groups. He does bicep curls, tricep extentions, pull-ups, dips, dumbell flys before moving into core exercises like sit-ups, crunches, planks, bicycle situps and so-on. Once the weight lifting is finally done, he moves into plyometrics to work on his speed and agility using workout boxes, and then some simple sprints and agility drills. [div align=center]

Ah yes well you see most of the training that Blackford Oakes safety of the Season 9 champion New Orleans Second Line does comes from trying to outmaneuver the dastardly Connor Tanner who once upon a time convinced ~TOTALLY ACTIVE AND CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS OF THE LEAGUE~ to retire against their will by coercion, blackmail, bamboozlement, flim flams, and otherwise frowned upon activities but since Blackford Oakes survived that mass retirement back when the New Orleans Second Line were the Las Vegas Legion Connor Tanner is upsetti like spaghetti and has been trying to sabotage him ever since but Blackford Oakes just won defensive player of the year so clearly Connor Tanner's mission is backfiring and only making Oakes grow in strength and intelligence and speed and hands and tackling and endurance and blocking and agility and kicking and throwing and other statistics too and pretty soon he'll have an Ultimus ring to help him vanquish Connor Tanner.

Childish Gambino has returned to his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia to work on his game during the NSFL offseason. Every day he would meet up with Seattle Seahawks, and former Green Bay Packers runningback, Eddie Lacy and run five miles before breakfast. For breakfast they would then max at a local Waffle House. Waffles, bacon, eggs over medium, and a large side of hashbrowns with the chili. Scrumptious. They would then run 5 more miles and eat at Chickfila. Waffle fries and chicken sandwiches with extra pickles. For desert they would head over to The Varsity for a chili dog and a frozen orange. Mid afternoon would be spent lifting some weights, but not many. Once dinner time rolled around they would make their way to The Vortex where they would attempt the Quadruple burger challenge, and fail each day. Some day they will win. Once the meat sweats settled the pair would end the night with curls. Six pack curls that is.
You see, Gambino and Lacy dont work out. They're fat. They love food. The end. -178 words [div align=\"center\"]

People often expect that Dean Jackson, as a kicker and punter in the National Simulation Football League, works almost exclusively on his leg strength. On the contrary, Dean Jackson spends near equal amounts of time strengthening his upper and lower body. Kicking power is not solely based on the power in the legs; it's about the power that can also be transferred through the body, where the "exit" point happens to be the right foot. So, yes fellas, Dean Jackson does arm day in addition to leg day. Squats, hamstring curls, burpees, pull-ups... Jackson does it all. As far as diet goes, he is a bit more relaxed. No special food regiments for him; Sunday night after the games is pizza night. Granted, he goes for organic food, takes some natural supplements, and all that jazz, but if you think he's not gonna be there for the grand opening of the new shake shack, you're dead wrong.

Angus Winchester is known around the league for some of his stranger workouts. One of his offseason specialties is wrestling bears. That requires very specific training and a certain type of strength and stamina to do. But during the normal season Winchester likes to keep it pretty low key and stick to the basic powerlifting workouts like he grew up on. Angus usually doesn't split bodyparts on different days like most are into. He usually picks one or two big lifts a day and does a couple of small assistance lifts. His favorite lifts are the squat, power clean, and standing press. He used to go for PRs a lot when training but now that he's getting a little older he tries to focus on really perfect form and maintaining his current lifts and rep amounts as he does not recover at the same pace anymore, which during the regular season can be far too taxing on his body.

Owen Taylor recently hit the big 3-0. That’s right, he’s a running back and he just turned 30 years old. I know what you’re thinking, “A 30 year old running back? He’s done. Cut his ass now before his legs fall off on the field.” It happens all time. A running back can be 29 years and 364 days old, and people will call him the best athlete of his generation. As soon as the dial hits 30 years though? He’s washed up. Hang up the cleats, it’s over. Not Taylor though, he’s fully committed to showing the world the running backs can absolutely succeed after 30. In order to try every trick in the book to turn back time, Taylor has taken to sleeping in an oxygen rich tent, and by tent I mean inflatable tube that rests on the floor. Is it weird? Yes. Is it working? Hell yes. Say what you want, but Taylor is going to ride that magical tube all the way to the Hall of Fame.

As Xandra mentioned in her 4th of July special first interview, her favorite exercise routines include her border collie, Nax. They like to go for long early morning runs, often with some sprint sequences thrown in to build endurance and speed. Since being picked up by the Tijuana Luchadores and making the move to the team’s namesake seaside town, Xandra and her trainer, Gjaed, have also been incorporating swimming and beach workouts in the routine, which has been going swimmingly well! When working on strength and core in the hot Mexican sun, it’s basically like a hot yoga studio, which is also good prep for being on the field midday with all her pads and equipment on.
Mentally, Xandra likes to prepare for big games by watching movies with strong leads (preferably female) who beat the expectations set for them - it helps her get in the underdog mindset which really helps her thrive, no matter how good the odds for her team are. Some of her favorites are Legally Blonde, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Top Gun, and Flashdance. She would invite her teammates to join, but the mention of Mean Girls and ensuing discussion during the offseason was so distracting that Xandra didn’t want to risk the Lucha's success, especially in her rookie season. Ah! I could only think of a few things better then hitting the weight room with a bunch of sweaty people. So, I am going to tell you them now because that is not something I am about, you know that’s right Kif. One of the main “training” regiments I go through is the use of some nice skin creams, to make my body feel nice a smooth, and consistent use of Dr. Flim Flam’s miracle cream. Some may consider it an unfair advantage that I it gives me super strength, lickity speed, invulnerability, and ability to command the loyalty of sea creatures! See it is not my fault I put the effort into going to my local Drug store and buying it, instead of working out and training, everyone else has the same choice as me. Also, I do like when Kif massages me as well, it makes me tender. Kif says it does nothing and refuses to do it anymore but after I feel like as elusive as a jellyfish.
