THe NSFL is my only sim league, and to be honest, I plan to keep it on that way. I've really enjoyed the time I've had in the league, between my time on the Coyotes, my time as a Yeti, or the work I put in to the league as a GM and as a Events Committee member. When I first joined, I was just looking for something to burn time with in my last year of college, and originally I found it difficult to stay active - I didn't know anything about the league, and as a result I didn't gain too much TPE as a DSFL player. I did make graphics for the team - which was one of the reasons I wanted to join. I wanted an easy way to get ideas for making graphics, and this was a perfect outlet. This led to Sapp taking me over Forfeit in the S6 NSFL draft, and that choice single-handedly kept me active and contributing to the site. I bought in to the team culture and was committed to helping the team get their first win in forever, and when almost the entire team went inactive I felt compelled to step up as Co-GM. My involvement in graphics eventually led me to taking over the draft and awards shows, and allowed me to bolster my photoshop knowledge. Overall, I've been very happy with my time here, though I'm starting to get to the point where my commitments to the league are interfering with my IRL life

WRITTEN: For many, the NSFL is their main or only Sim league and for some it is one of many leagues. In at least 200 words, write about your favorite things about the NSFL or favorite memories, people you have met, etc.
Well I have only been a part of the NSFL for a couple days so far, so honestly I can't say I have a whole lot to write about here. I would say my favorite thing about the league specifically is that it seems very close to the SHL. That is my only sim experience, so I am glad that I am already sort of familiar with this format. My favorite memory would have to be having my player clear waivers in 24 hours and having Tijuana swoop me up afterwards. I spent a lot of time in Tijuana while in undergrad so this is a homecoming of sorts for me. My favorite people I've met so far outside of SHL people I already knew, would have to be slm in the main discord channel for being very welcoming, nunccoepi for helping me as a mentor, and then Ben and Payton who welcomed me to Tijuana right away and started giving me advice right away. I'm honestly very excited to start working on my player and everyone I have met has been awesome so I'm excited to be a part of the NSFL. When it comes to my favorite thing about this league, though there are many to pick like easy to complete PT tasks and a beautiful draft presentation for each season I have to go with this group of people. Yes I am talking about the simmer's I want to write out my appreciation for what they do to make this sim league entertaining and keeps me engaged. A feature I believe no other sim league was doing when I first joined. I have to give it to the simmers being able to go out of their way at 8 on weekdays to allow us to watch our teams show out on the gridiron. Not only that but updating the players in game weekly along with defensive and offensive strategies is no simple task. These simmers also do their best to make the off season as short as possible when it comes to remaking the rosters post draft, free agency, and dsfl call ups. And that is just for the NSFL, the people who do the DSFL need credit as well for the excellent job they do. Overall I know the sim team needs more props than they do and less hate when they make a error and have to re-sim the games. The sims are a big reason why I am still here even if I dont show up to all of them.

The National Simulation Football League has been impactful in my life over this past 1.5 years. It’s been of fun moments with wonderful people, and of course, some shitty moments with shitty people. It has also briefly concerned both my girlfriend and 2 other friends who’ve seen the acronym, but it was all good after I explained that I was looking at a nerdy online football game and not the other thing. Anyways, I still remember winning a championship as GM of the San Antonio Marshals. Now that was a fun time.
You know who I really appreciate? Here’s a brief list of others since I covered Arizona Outlaws people in my GM resignation post. @infinitempg you’re a cool dude who, kicker or not, I’m always glad to see around the league. @bovovovo i like Freddy. Ima be real, I’m super sick rn writing this so I’m just going off on tangents all over the place. But like, this league is pretty great. I’m glad I stepped down from GM becausenit became too much time commitment for me, but as a player this leaguebosnfun. I am thankful that I came back to that reddit post I saw, because even if spending too much tomr simtesting fucked my biology grade one time, this league is fun ![]() I impersonate a programmer for a living

As many know I am the "owner" of the NSFL. I've been here since S2 and have been super involved since the middle of S3 (when I took over GMing in San Antonio) and then hyper involved middle of S4 when I joined the Head Office. This league was my first ever sim league and I still love it to this day. The community here is great, and there are a ton of people I would love to shout out.
I already shouted out all the Hawks in my media when I was stepping down so I wanted to shout out some other people in this PT. @ADwyer87, @`BayleyIsland` @White Cornerback and @AsylumParty our Head office as a unit was great. I think we accomplished a lot, but we also had a ton of fun together. We had to deal with a ton of shit and y'all were great to work with. @adam2552 - my investigative partner. Thanks for seeing what you saw and coming through. @timeconsumer it was always a fucking blast watching sims with you - loved your whole sim reign. @`To12143` - when we lost some simmers for DSFL you stepped up majorly and its super appreciated. Over all this league is about to finish up its 13th season and still going strong. Shouts to everyone for making it happen. |
