Sitting 15th in receiving yards Gabriel Tenzini might seem like a long shot to join the NSFL’s Top 50, but a more nuanced understanding of the role he played in the Baltimore Hawks offense makes it clear why he should be included, and why the Las Vegas Legion made a quick move, trading their S2 5th round pick to ensure that he is a cornerstone of their receiving corps going forward.

It seems likely that the top 50 will mainly come out of the ranks of the 64 players being named to the Pro Bowl, which is a great sign for Tenzini, who has appeared on an overwhelming number of NSFC ballots.

Tenzini ranks second among Tight Ends in yards, trailing Yellowknife’s Ricky Maddox by only 15. His 3 touchdowns tie him for first among Tight Ends, and 10th among all players - second among Hawks. An analysis of play-by-play shows that he is the go to guy in the red zone for the Hawks, scoring his touchdowns from 4, 1, and 1 yards. In fact, Tenzini was utilized as much as Running Back Marcus Robinson when it came to short yard situations - remarkable when you consider how much riskier a throw is than a handoff.

It is more difficult to put up a great season surrounded by lesser talent, and Tenzini’s resume is impressive before even considering that his team went 4-10. He deserves a spot on the NSFL’s top 50 players.

Hariff Ernston is a top line back in the league. He is second for line backers in sacks and is in the top ten of sack leaders in the league. Hariff ernston is also out coverage line back that does out and gets good coverage on the teams running backs and tight ends. What else does he do then? He gets interceptions and even tds. How many other defenders are out there are making all plays on all parts of the game. Hariff ernston and very very few others. Hariff ernston also shows his skill when the Arizona outlaws team needs a big play he is there to show up and get it done. In the playoffs hes getting touch downs and sacks when if he wasn’t there the other team would be getting tds points and the lead. In our Arizona outlaws locker room hariff ernston is a good member. He is pumping guys up and always doing the stuff that’s right for the good of the team. In hariff ernston isn’t only a top line backer in the national simulation football league but hes also the head of the morale committee in the locker room and our head cheer leader. Hes like a soccer mom that makes plays and hold the team together. Hariff is a top 50 player no doubts.

As the first season of the National Simulation Football League comes to a close, fans and players have been discussing who were the top players of the regular season along with playoffs. On what list being made(the top 50 players), an underrated star who hasn't been mentioned enough is corner back Jason Williams. Williams, a corner back for the Arizona Outlaws, has been a big part to why the Outlaws made the playoffs and had such a dominant defense. Williams led all corner backs with interceptions(nine) and was second in the league in interceptions. In addition, Williams returned three of his five interceptions for touchdowns, making him the league leader in defensive touchdowns. Jason also is seventh in passes defensed with 10. Williams is also a really good tackler. He ha 44 tackles on the year which puts him in the middle of the pack despite how much he plays in coverage. Jason Williams has been a big part of the Outlaws defense and deserves to be recognized for his performance this past season. He belongs in the conversation of top defensive backs in the league, and is a definite top 3 corner. Overall, I would rank him between 15 and 25 on the list.

When you are talking about the top 50 players in the NSFL, Johnathon Saint should be on everyone's list. Saint, linebacker of the Colorado Yeti, is one of the best defensive players in the NSFL. Saint was drafted 58th overall in the 10th round of the Inaugural Draft. He has proven to be one of the biggest steals in the draft after having dominating the league in its first season. Saint is a great all around player. He can rush the quarterback as good as anyone in this league. He put up 14 sacks this season, that is good enough for second in the league. Most by any linebacker. On top of that he had 101 tackles and another 4 tackles for a loss. Saint was able to force two fumbles this season. Saint was also pretty decent in coverage. He defended 4 passes while also adding a pick. Not only was Johnathon Saint completely dominant on the field, he is also one of the great locker room guys on the team. Most people on the team look up to him as a leader. In my opinion Saint is the best linebacker in the league and he would probably be in the top 10 of my list.

Blaster Blade should be in the NSFL Top 50. This is someone who plays alongside Jayce Tuck, Dental Dam, and Arbin Asipi and yet he's getting stats that are equal to some #1s on other team that are considered better. He has been one of the key contributors to the Outlaws defense that is considered either the best or 2nd best. He came into the league a little later than a lot of the people and yet has worked hard and tore it up. When it comes tot he championship game I expect Blaster to have another great game and just prove me right. When the Outlaws picked him up many in the LR were not sure what to expect of the young player but with his awesome attitude and great skill on the field, he made sure to have everyone on his side. If he is not in the top 50, then no one deserves to be in the top 50. All you need to do is look at his stats and compare them to anyone. Without blaster the outlaws dont make it as far as they do, but yet people rarely talk about him. The talk goes to Tuck who deserves it but blaster deserves respect as well.

Well isn't it obvious who should be on this list? It's the boy Jaylon Lee! I mean come on, the dude is a monster and many people are sleeping on him to be a Pro-Bowl selection. The dude has 121 TACKLES and that is on a GOOD TEAM. I mean let's be real here people, the only reason why K. Hendrix and A. Selich have more tackles is because they are the only people WHO CAN TACKLE on their teams. If they teams could tackle, those numbers would be lower and those teams would maybe be in the playoffs, but they aren't. If you even look at the list...




Jaylon Lee had to contend with Brady Stropko (5th) and myself Harrif Ernston (10th) for regular season tackles and he ended up FREAKIN' THIRD IN TACKLES.

Selich's closes competition was A. Hackett(9th) with 93....

Hedrix had to contend with Harrison (my boy; 11th) with 84, really?! Also, Delacour who is a CB on the Baltimore Hawks with 77 (12th).

Those guys weren't challenged to get tackles, Jaylon Lee was, and he was flipping amazing at it.

Also, people would sleep on Jaylon for not "affecting the game anywhere else on the stat sheet" i.e TFL, turnovers, safeties, PD, etc.

3 Tackles for losses, 1 FF and 1 FR, 4 Sacks, 5 PDs, and 1 PUNT BLOCK! HE BLOCKED A PUNT! A PUNT!

Now, most of you ask, "where was all this, this came out of no where"... well my friends that's because he did most of that in the LAST 5 GAMES OF THE SEASON. My goodness, what a freaking play maker, and I KNOW ya'll saw his INT return for a TD in the Playoff game versus the :scrub: . My goodness, I'm getting jealous. I thought I was the coverage LB. Anyways moving on....

Now to get to my final segment, this man is the leader at the heart of the defense. I'm telling you now, I bet Jaylon Lee has the most 3rd down stop contributions. What I mean by that really is that he's always making tackles and these tackles allow the rusher maybe, 2, maybe 3, maybe 4 yards. This puts us in GREAT position at 2nd and longs! Then 2nd and longs turn into 3rd downs or 3rd and longs because of him, then those turn into punts, because of Jaylon Lee.

I know a stat Jaylon Lee HAS to lead the league in, the highest play by play appearance ratio in the league. I'm taking about 2 or even a whole three downs of "Tackled by Jaylon Lee 3 yards, Tackled by Jaylon Lee 2 yards, tackled by Jaylon Lee ....again...". The dude is always there, covering our backs. I am just so grateful to this guy, we are extremely lucky to have him on the Outlaws.

I've never called myself the best Linebacker in the League because,

1). I'm humble, I want others to say it about me and make their judgments. I'll speak by my play.

2) Jaylon Lee exist. I fully believe this season would be much harder for us (probably 2 times harder) without him in our Linebacker core.

TANGENT: S***, I never thought about this.... THE OUTLAWS HAVE THE BEST LB CORE IN THE LEAGUE!

Back on topic: Anyways, stop sleeping on him. He's easily top 50, and he's a top 10 defender, easily.

Last thing; if I tag you, no major disrespect. I legit admire all of you guys and your tackle numbers. Ya'll are basically the top LBs in the league. I just wanted to let you know I gave you a little shout out and I do admire and watch your game and how you build.

It's always expected you'll see an article or a hundred about the clear shoe-ins for the top fifty or top one hundred lists, but when it comes to the third or the fourth ranked at their position, it's not always clear who deserves to be there. Let me tell you this, though, despite the San Jose quarterback confusion leading up to Ethan Hunt's hot streak late in the year, Bailey Cook never looked like anything less than a clear, consensus number one Wide Receiver, that any team would be glad to have. His stats rival those of top rated receiver Josh Garden, eclipsing one-thousand yards and reeling in four touchdowns, but his team's record is way way at the bottom reflecting what he had to work with this season. Now, this may seem like an attempt to disparage the SaberCats, but on the contrary, I simply mean to highlight what a standout receiver Bailey Cook has been, and what it means to be that bright light on a team in what seems to be quite a dark place. Cook's season one performance has earned him a spot on my top fifty, regardless of what the other pundits have to say.
