My bold prediction of the year is that the Colorado Yeti are going to end the season in first place in the league. There are some other very strong teams, noteably the Outlaws and the Wraiths but I trully believe the Yeti have what it takes to roll with even the best of them. We play a very defensive game and it works really well. Hell, the team went several games in a row allowing no more than 3 points against per game. They managed to take down the Outlaws in what was an absolutely thrilling game that came doen to the buzzer. There was a recent stumble against philly which does have some people concerned however ;The Liberty had not yet won a game until beating Colorado. The players know that they just werent good enough and that they are going to have to go back to the bassics that earned them their winning streak earlier in the season. Even if the Yeti manage to play to the best of their abilities for the rest of the season, they are going to have to also hope that the other juggernautes lose a few opportune games. In the end there are other teams with equal if not better chances than they Yeti at finnishing 1st but hey, its a bold prediction right?

Before the season began most people had roughly the same playoff teams penciled in for a repeat, with slight tweaks to the final standings. It seems like that's a possibility, but both conferences have their surprises waiting to take shape. In the ASFC, the Otters have struggled to win away games, while in the NSFC it's the Baltimore Hawks that are biting at the heels of the Yeti and Wraiths. My bold prediction is that Baltimore will make the playoffs this year, thanks to the league's most efficient offense and an improved defense can that at least hold its own as the Hawks attempt to steal the few extra road games they'll need to hurdle into second place. They have the team to do it too. QB Scrub Kyubee needs to work on his accuracy and deep ball but has been hanging in there with Chris Orosz and Logan Noble, two of the best leading his division rivals. Their secret weapon, though, is their running game which is just nearing its peak. Every team has struggled to run well so far, and while the Hawks 3.7 YPC is nothing to write home about, Darlane Farlane's ability to control the ball and keep possessions going is what allowed them to hold on to dirty wins against the Otters and SaberCats. Their rookie TE Carmel Gibson has also been a surprise, though he needs to work on consistency to help the team hang on to the lead late in games. Defensively, they are (a distant) second in the league in sacks with the duo of Hendrix and Broadway leading the way. Their secondary leaves a bit to be desired, and they are especially weak at Safety, but Delacour and Turner are a solid couple on the outside and continue to improve. If this team can work on Safety and put Scrub Kyubee in a position to have a great season, they have the best chance at stealing a playoff spot. I'm not saying it will happen, I'm just saying don't be surprised when it does.
Bold Prediction: RFFO realizes he fucked up and holds a fire sale by the trade deadline.
In fact, this may not be all that bold, considering I feel it has already begun. Just last night the Legion acquired two picks in exchange for capable veteran cornerback Matthew Peterson. The SaberCats needed a #2 guy alongside John Canton so this move makes sense. The Legion, while not fielding a solid team Week to Week are not devoid of assets. In fact there's a few other names who could probably be moved by the deadline. Mark Ramiro is probably the top target for teams considering he is the highest TPE defensive tackle in the league. Teams looking for a kicker could make a move for Iyah Blewitt, as the Legion likely won't be taking a kicker in the draft next season, as many more needs have to be addressed. The original plan from RFFO was to put a good team out from day 1 but the growth of many of these players has remained stagnant, and with many, nonexistent. The Liberty are poised to surpass them by the end of the season if they haven't already, and the Legion need to assess what they can do moving forward. I think they unload vets and high quality lease players in order to gain a wealth of picks and essentially start over. 228 words
Can the Liberty win all their remaining games? Probably not, as they include away games against the Outlaws and Wraiths. Can they finish the season with a tied or winning record? Absolutely. In fact, they are headed in that direction. The Liberty GMs aced their draft, picking up high activity players late into the draft. When we add in their great expansion draft, this gives them an amazing core of active players at valuable positions, such as:
-Fox North, WR1 -Damien Kroetch, WR2 -Paul DiMirio, TE -Omar Wright, RB -Micah Hendrix, LT -Drew Davidson, DE -Ottokar Von Gerhart, DE -Perry Tucker, LB -Luke Washington, LB -Lincoln Jefferson, SS -Vikain Marmeledov, FS -Tyler Oles, CB -Kristoffer O'Sullivan, CB Even I didn't know the list was that long until I started writing it! It just goes to show the long list of high-activity players that the Liberty have picked up. As @kckolbe pointed out, the Legion came into the season with a win-now approach that had their total TPE at least 300 higher than the Liberty's. The Liberty havealready closed that gap! They also won their first game against a team widely considered to be one of the best in the league; the team that gave the reigning champions their only loss. The Liberty are good and getting better. Get out of their way now, while you still can. Code: 227
The bold prediction I see happening this season is the Yellowknife Wraiths not making the playoffs. Right now they are on a six game road trip and are already 1-2 on it, the lone win coming against the Legion in a hard fought game. They travel to San Jose, Baltimore, and Philadelphia for their next three games where it could see the Wraiths at a possible 1-5 more likely 2-4 record. The Yeti went to the Ultimus game last year, and it’s hard to see them not back in the playoffs. With how Baltimore changed up their team this off season, and through the draft, they will be a team to be reckoned with starting this year and continuing on. Even Philadelphia isn’t looking that bad. The Wraiths do have the best offense in the league, but their front 7 on defense has been a problem this year, and going into San Jose and Baltimore, the two teams with some great runners and lines on them, is going to hurt Yellowknife. Orosz does not play well on the road either, so look for him to continue his downward spiral without his “vitamins”. All in all, I do not believe the Wraiths will make the playoffs this year.

Incomplete. ![]() Bold Prediction...That Cooper Christmas will play a regular season game in Season Two and not see this in the Play by Play. How exactly will this be accomplished has me baffled ..honest. I'm beginning to think I will continue to balance my updates as best I can and I will continue to spend points on Intelligence to supplement the Hands and Speed essentials that most other receivers believe are the only attributes that matter. I used to completely disagree with the statements I've read that state that intelligence is simply a waste of TPE. I don't have any evidence to back up my contention that higher intelligence helps decrease the rate of drops..But, until someone shows me that it has completely no effect I intend to slowly increase it till I get run outta here. The Philadelphia Liberty are going to win the Ultimus cup this year. I said it. It is one of the boldest predictions you can make. They Liberty are currently 1-4 on the season, sitting at the bottom of their division. However, you have to look further into the 1-4 to get more info. The Liberty lost their first four games, but won their most recent game against a strong team in the Colarado Yeti. In addition, the slow start could've definitely been predicted at the beginning of the season. The Liberty are an expansion team who focused on acquiring picks, so the team is mostly rookies. Due to good picks though, the Liberty are one of the fastest improving teams in the league. I believe that at their current rate of improvement, they'll turn their record around and be among top teams record-wise at the end of the season. They'll be the top team in average TPE, and will win in the Ultimus championship game 23-0. This will be after the steamroll through the division championship game in a 31-0 shutout. The Liberty will finish the season with a six game win streak, eight games if you count playoffs. Expect the Liberty to surprise everyone.

After beginning the season 1-3, the Orange County Otters are looking upon dark times. After finishing with a league-leading (tied) 9-5 record in the first season of the National Simulation Football League, the Otters made low-key but safe moves in the offseason.
All signs pointed toward another successful season. The Otters started the season with three of their first four games on the road. The Otters were unable to overcome the home-field advantage and dropped all three road games. Many around the league are questioning whether the Orange County Otters deserved their pre-season hype. After a 1-3 start, the Orange County Otters will recover and make a triumphant return to the playoffs. Not only that, but they will do it as regular season champions and ASFC first seeds. They will be led by none-other than beleaguered quarterback Mike Boss. Boss, the thrower of interceptions, taker of sacks and lord of bad field position, first of his name. He shall make a turnaround in his second season and start throwing dramatically better. He will lead the league in yards and touchdowns thrown, as well as not be first overall in interceptions. Perhaps the boldest prediction of them all: The Otters will win the Ultimus Cup, not off the strength of their defense, but by the arm of Mike Boss. Code: 237 [div align=center]

The Philadelphia Liberty MIGHT beat the Legion in week 7 and will definitely not win another game this season. The discrepancy in talent between the Legion and Liberty has been brought up all season and while there is some truth to the Liberty having better potential for future development it will not be reflected in their record for season 2. Following their winnable game against Legion the Liberty have to host the Wraiths, Outlaws, and SaberCats three solid teams. They also have to travel to Vegas, Yellowknife, Colorado, and Baltimore. Those games are not favorable for Liberty. Sure, you might think they can snatch a win from Legion in Vegas but their offensive line is terrible and Legion is going to pressure them the whole game. The Liberty’s weakness is probably more their defense than offense though, and Legion might be able to finally accomplish something on that side of the ball against this team. Liberty will look better in season 3, even without their first round draft pick, if players keep developing like they are now. However, they will not finish season 2 with more than 2 wins and should be happy if they manage to snag #2. They are a potentially good team in the future, but not in the present. Sorry Liberty, this isn’t your year.
