im not so sure about this. Also not sure of the appeal? If they cant earn above 250 TPE, deferring the draft would be a pretty serious blow to any draftee, especially coupled with quicker regression

Reflavor everything to be college. There were discussions of this a while ago, but I dont feel like linking it. There was some disinterest in that specific idea, but I am open to discuss that again.
If my vote counts for anything, I would much rather have the DSFL be branded as actual college teams.

Second this as well. I just don’t see the advantage of doing it at all honestly if you can still be sent down anyways. Why spend so much time in the DSFL?
The fact that staying down confers no regression benefits or things like that - that I like.
My two grievances would be...
If you don't go up in the first possible draft class you shouldn't be eligible for rookie awards. Cause even already, people who get sent down have more seasons of earning potential than a true rookie. It's kinda BS IMO.
Second, fairly strongly against using college teams. Just cause like, I want to be able to craft my player's background. I don't want to force them into one of 6 colleges, ya feel?

Alabama
Clemson
Georgia
Notre Dame
LSU
Florida
definitely worth considering, but points brought up seasons ago were:
- cant represent every college. SBA does it, but it may not work here. How do we decide which Colleges to use? do we rotate some of the lesser liked colleges every few seasons?
- There is history with the DSFL team names. dont want to just lose that history.
- We have been continuously moving away from using logos from established entities to help us avoid any copyright laws that probably wont, but may be a problem in the future.
Edit: I do personally like real colleges better, but for the sake of all the other points brought up by people, I would vote for fictional.

against the college flavoring (University of Portland Pythons) or against the real colleges (University of Florida Gators)?

I understand these points but offer counterpoints:
- why does it really matter to represent everyone? Can’t we just pick 6 colleges and eventually expand to 8 and roll with it? I attend Hofstra University which is a D1 school but I’m in no way offended if I don’t have a team.
- I suppose, but the franchises would still be the same they’d just be under the history tab, it’s not like they’re being erased.
- I can almost 100% assure you that this will never be an issue, and if it was, we just rebrand the team.

He probably means real colleges. I understand that but I’d argue you can still craft the story any way you like it doesn’t have to be exactly congruent with your team.

I should rephrase that. They cannot use more than 250 TPE. They can hoard it, just not apply it, to keep the competitive balance in the DSFL.
