I find it interesting that in season 3, the two teams with the best records were also the most balanced. Then again, the two most unbalanced teams also made the playoffs so... never mind.

Didn't really shock me since they kind of did the same to Christ last year. They were SO pass heavy despite having a QB who wasn't all that great (DSFL excluded)

They spent most of season 2 losing, so they had to pass more. This year that wasn't the case.

That's a really good point, maybe their S2 percentage was a lot of game flow. But they were still so much above other teams, that I'm not so sure that was the only reason.

You're giving the sim far too much credit here. In actual football, you pass more when you're behind to catch up. In this sim, you get the ball at your own 20, down by 4 with 2:40 left and call 3 consecutive run plays with the dials cranked up as high as they go for pass ratio.

Yeah I think the only time the sim really adjusts for game situation in any meaningful way is during the last 2 minutes of each half.

And even then the tempo doesn't change I believe.

Good idea, wish I thought about that. Maybe ill add another chart doing that.
